Tainted Grail
I don't like rouge-like game but this was much cheaper to buy than the real board game. Also don't like to die often. And lose character carefuly crafted because there is no drop of some candles ... If you have nerves do lose & die - go ahead - play. I enjoyed trying it few times. And that's that.

Great Game but It's a Gamble Throughout
People should call these games GRPG: Gambling RPGs. You start off with 100hp and not skills against a 1000hp boss and I was able to win. But because everything is a gamble: level up skills, loot, cards/spells available, encounters, basically everything, and on my current run I've essentially rolled a '1' (fail) on each of them - I can't beat the third boss. I'm doing x1 damage his shields to him and his cronies with my pathetic offensive set, I don't get to stun him when he buffs (lacking card) the shields again, and after several hours of whittling them down, he just keeps buffing up again. I'm enjoying the game, but it's mechanics like this that make people quit.

frustrating and addicting fun
I played several hours of this game and made it through the easy mode. I like the graphics, the style of the game, the music, the narrative. It is quite addicting. The grind of collecting currencies is frustrating (I know, playing in normal mode is better ...) My only problem with it is the need to start the easy mode from the main screen after a run, because it starts in the normal mode. I was also bad at it with the first character, so ... try out another character (the Summoner is amazing). I will continue to play it and hope for more of this.
