SUPERHOT

Superhot is a solid game; The mechanic is really fun and its incredibly stylish. That said, it became incredibly tedious as the levels went on. Things would be going so well and I would almost finish a level and then you get hit by something from behind with no way to dodge it. It becomes a slog to fight through the whole level again and again. At times, it feels less like skill and more like luck got me through the levels. Its not a bad game, and I did largely have fun with it, but the frustration I felt at certain times... I'd say MAYBE get it on a discount. I was lucky enough to get it for free and while I enjoyed my time for the most part and I don't think I would ever want to play it a second time.

I'm not going to lie, this game is overpriced but to say it isn't fun is a lie. This is of the most fun games I've played in years, the time dilation mechanic makes for some truly nice moments of pure badass during the levels. The challenge mode is one of the most fun parts of the game, rebalancing the entire game and creating a completely new experience with each new mode (my favorites were katana only and throwing challenge) and endless mode is seriously fun. One tip: You can slow down time while jumping by holding spacebar

When I first heard of this game I thought, "Eh, that sounds cool" But when I played it... oh boy. I thought it was a lot of fun. Sure, it's really short, but there is always endless mode. Not to mention the other little mini games you can play. Played endless mode for about an hour straight weaving my way through bullets, trying not to die. It had me on the edge of my seat as I cut down a lot of enemies with the sword. Trying to pull off awesome moves, such as throwing a gun or any weapon at another body then hotswaping to said other body to catch the weapon mid air is really satisfying. VR version is also very fun I definitely recommend it.

One of the best and one of the most unique games I've ever played. VR version is the best VR game ever! And though the core game is short, the replayability level is very high and the game is tons of fun!

Linux Mint with Nvidia GT 730 2GB card. Not bad, SUPERHOT Team, not bad at all. I wondered where Newblood (Dusk) got that time warping syringe idea from. In Superhot time only moves when you move (WASD), but can aim (mouse) at your leisure as enemies remain frozen. This allows you to set up shots, plan ahead, exploit environmental obstacles, and even throw weapons and objects at enemies and melee them. The aesthetic is another obvious 1980s new wave vibe common among indie games. Environments are limited to individual rooms, providing an 'arcade stages' sort of progression. Not bad for $20 and even better at $10.
