Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones

I like this game from its beginning, but it's broken with bugs. Looks awesome, have great atmosphere, adventure part is good, but cannot play to the end. Really GOG want throw this great game to middle rating games? Its shame. I give three ***, four stars will come after I will play it to the end. I am at the four new beginning...

As many people noted, there was a lot of hype and promise here. Unfortunately, you're getting too many bugs and busted mechanics to enjoy thoroughly. The story is amazing and fun. The combat and UI mishaps (where'd my menu go?) can be pretty frustrating. There are smaller annoyances too. Mine auto-defaults to max-everything settings, which my machine can't handle. I have to drag a painfully slow mouse across the screen to adjust settings and hope that it'll make the change by the 4th or 5th time I do this, instead of just closing the menu UI. Grab on a discount *if* it gets some updates down the road

fantastic cthulhu world with creepy sounds and music , gorgeous characters and scenarios, but the gameplay is infested with bugs wich prevent me to progress and enjoy such a great concept. after its really patched it is a 10/10 rpg, it has crafting, looting ,branching dialogues and paths, character progression and creation, it is gorgoues to look at and imerse yourself...interesting characters and story wich mixes lovecrafts concepts and stories in a single package that shows it deeply understands the source material. but as is 5/10. its a shame to be in this state. rough diamond needs some polish ill be waiting...

+Atmosphere (Original)Fallout vibes especialy for combat and traveling Story, dialogs Audiovisuals - especialy during madness scenes/breaking of reality scenes - phenomenal -Bugs(sometimes game breaking) It's short and finish is rushed - like Lovecraft's novels, but still atleast outro could be more longer and more specific about what¨s the conclusion In the end... Yes those bugs are pain in the ss - it falls down, cultist after one spell can't use anything else, combat gets completely stuck - it really breaks the feeling and the ending could explain more details and mysteries, but I guess that wouldn't be Lovecraft how I like it. Mysterious and unexplaining. I have not been that mesmerised since the original Fallout games or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, tactical combat suits me well, lot of eastern eggs(if you read novels), some animation breathtaking(one would say reality-breaking!), I was absorbed and I hope one day I'll get new and even longer adventure in this lovecraft RPG settings with more locations to explore and more story to read. Maybe Innsmouth next time? Who knows?
