Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones

not a bad game,good atmosphere and gameplay but i can't load my savegame.

Fantastic game about the world of H.P.L.

A truly rivetting experience, combining turn-based combat, an original art style, striking music, interesting RPG choices, various party members to put at your side, and an ending that knocked my socks off. Highly recommend.

Wow .I finished it yesterday and can say it's awesome ! After first launch of Stygian on mine 8 core processor PC with GTX 960 / 8 GB RAM when intro movie was not playing correctly I thougth i wasted $$$ on broken game ,but despite fact movies was cutted in some parts ( i guess it's becouse i use old windows 7 ultimate 64) game was running correctly so i created character and started the journey into madness.... was worth it ! I give 5/5 because even with its flaws it's really nice game and was created by group of peoplel really interested in creating unique, interesting game not only gaining $$$ and You see their dedication in gameplay Stygian is unique gem in PC games chest and beware becaouse if You try it,You it may want to become one of the cultist worshipping the Old Ones growing in this game....

The game looks ugly, and plays a bit clunky, overall it's pretty much a Fallout in a lovecraftian setting. A bunch of character skills that you can use during gameplay (talk your way into and out of situations, pick locks, science/occult stuff away etc.), abilites set once at the beginning of the game, perks, hex-based combat, various approaches to solve a problem. And it works. Despite its shortcomings the game has that Fallut vibe. There would be 5 stars but damn that Colour from Outer Space bossfight needs a bit of patching up. Infinite enemies shoehorn the player into a single tactic which goes against the spirit of the game that allows you to solve problems from various angles.
