A good build off of the previous Heist
Typical of this studios quality and fun first ethos.

It's great, just a really fun game and builds on everything the first game did well whilst improving where that one fell short

A damn fun time
Firstly, the game is just stunning. The lighting is beautiful and the characters all have fun and varied designs (as goes within the Steamworld franchise). The plot and characters are intriguing and fun as wel. The combat is similar to the first, but with few qol tweaks and overall improvements. Though the new Job system isn't as great as it could be. The naval combat is fun is short bursts, but not anything too deep. The movement of the ship isn't bad per say, but it gets way better after getting the boost, making both the combat and movement way more fluid. (hehehe, fluid, like water.)

An incredible sequel to SteamWorld Heist
SteamWorld Heist 2 is a massive improvement over its predecessor. It wouldn't be wrong to claim that, between the traversable world map and the new mechanics, this game is three times as large. Combat has been streamlined by creating six possible classes. A character can change class at will, and is actively encouraged to multiclass. Furthermore, bots get tired after a mission, and you are then required to swap them out for fresh characters, thus forcing you to experiment with different compositions. Overall I found this game to be more expanded, more balanced, and more fun.
