Description
The Star Wars® Saga continues with Star Wars®: The Force Unleashed™ II, the highly anticipated sequel to the fastest-selling Star Wars game ever created. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the world was introduced to Darth Vader’s now fugitive apprentice, Starkiller—the unlikely hero who would ignite the flames of rebellion in a galaxy so desperately in need of a champion.

In the sequel, Starkiller returns with over-the-top Force powers and embarks on a journey to discover his own identity and to reunite with his one true love, Juno Eclipse. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Starkiller is once again the pawn of Darth Vader—but instead of training his protégé as a ruthless assassin, the dark lord is attempting to clone his former apprentice in an attempt to create the Ultimate Sith warrior. The chase is on – Starkiller is in pursuit of Juno and Darth Vader is hunting for Starkiller.

With all-new devastating Force powers and the ability to dual-wield lightsabers, Starkiller cuts a swath through deadly new enemies across exciting worlds from the Star Wars films - all in his desperate search for answers to his past.
  • Continue the galaxy-altering journey of Starkiller, Darth Vader's fugitive apprentice, that shapes the key events between Star Wars: Episode III and Episode IV.
  • Unleash the Force with more power and precision through improved controls and new powers, such as the deceptive Mind Trick, which turns enemies against their allies.
  • Discover the true power of Starkiller with Force Fury, where his attacks and Force powers are exponentially increased.
  • Improved targeting system enhances precision use of Force powers and greater interaction with puzzles and the environment.
  • Take combat to the next level with the ability to wield dual lightsabers and punish enemies with all-new combo attacks.
  • Experience the most life-like interactions with Pixelux Entertainment's Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) coupled with euphoria from Natural Motion Ltd and the powerful Havok Physics system.
  • Expanded customization options such as new costumes and power-enhancing lightsaber crystals.
  • Fight through all-new challenge levels designed to test and hone your fighting and Force power skills.
  • Skillfully manage your combat techniques to defeat a variety of brand-new enemies, which will culminate in epic boss battles.
  • Immerse yourself once again in the story that was honored with awards from the Writer's Guild of America and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.

The sequel isn't as good as the original

Unless you get the DLC to add post-game Dark Side content like in , there's not much here. Technically there are 5 level in this game, but in reality there are only. You are in the cloning facilities twice on Kamino and on Dagobah, you don't do anything except collect holocrons and have a cutscene. They try to make the game feel longer by having different sections within the level but it still feels really, really short, I nearly completed it in one sitting and I wasn't speed rushing. The new enemies are interesting and provide a challenge, while the plot and the story aren't intesesting. All in all, the game is the original's wimpy brother.

Much improved over the first game

This game is a MASSIVE improvement over the abysmal control scheme of the first one. The devs have fixed almost everything that made the control of the first game a disgusting experience, except for a couple of items: -The force throw targeting is still a bit off, as the character will inexplicably toss stuff aside at random when you're clearly trying to target a specific direction (same as in the first game). -The awkward fixed camera angles are still present in some boss battles, which feels unnecessarily restrictive, like a console game. Only this console game is from 2010, when no such antiquated tactics have an excuse for being used in a full 3D game like this. -Game still uses awful Quicktime mechanics, which manage to be worse this time around because they're not very well disclosed to the player, with really small button prompts that are barely noticeable, and a narrower window to execute them in. -Too many of the boss battles hinge on poorly-disclosed quicktime sequences that can only be completed by fulfilling the dogmatically EXACT actions that the developers concocted to bring down the enemy. If you miss even one vaguely-prompted aspect of the expected action, you have to go through the whole scripted process over again. It's the worst part of the game, and a testament to how bad an idea quicktime events and overly scripted sequences have always been in video games. This alone drops the game down in rating. If they had not relied so much on these antiquated quicktime mechanics, this might have been a much better game. Aside from these gripes, kudos to the developers for ironing our the absolutely awful control/combat from the last game to make for a much smoother and enjoyable experience this time around. Shame you have to play the terribly done first game to make sense of the plot for the second one.

Decent game but on sales

In general it is good game. Gameplay is very similar to part 1 but with some upgrades which are good and gameplay got even better. Sounds good but unfortunately story is not that interesting and much shorter then in part 1. Dont' get me wrong, It still has great Star Wars atmosphere but in terms of user engagement it's far far away from its predecessor. For this reason I would only recommend to buy it on sales. It's not worth full price, unless you are great fan of previous part or in general SW (like me). Also game have some issues on modern PCs. I had problems with screen tearing and cutscenes errors (with game shutting down completely). For cutscenes there are many working fixes provided on forums etc. but for screen tearing I would say that if you have GPU better than RX 570 or GTX 1060 you can consider this game unplayable. I have RX 570 and screen tearing was barerly acceptable. Didn't find any fix for this.

1 star for length, 5 for awesomeness

The game is a must for the people that loved the first one, but my playthrough was over in only 5 hours!! The fights are a bit repetitive, and some sequences are a bit over the top (is this Star Wars or Dragon Ball?), but man do you feel strong in the Force!!!! Buy it on sale, and only if you loved the first one.

A Consummate Sequel

There is a tangible upgrade in the smoothness of play and graphics from the first installment of The Force Unleashed. However, there is nothing to captivate the imagination. The foundation of this game is an insultingly shallow story arch with completely static characters. Which dove tails with a lack of creativity in employing the mechanics of this game. Shock and awe are the only methods of problem solving and, since Star Killer has single handedly taken down a star destroyer in the previous episode, there is really no topping that. The list of enemies, situations and levels to play are severely truncated. You will find yourself repeatedly fighting the same battles, in the same places, running in circles, going nowhere with no one interesting. Add a few fan service appearances by well known characters, a flaccid appearance of Lord Vader, and here my friends is how you make a sequel. A frozen in the middle veggie burger, with a soggy GF bun served on a dirty plate/10
