Description
The Star Wars® Saga continues with Star Wars®: The Force Unleashed™ II, the highly anticipated sequel to the fastest-selling Star Wars game ever created. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the world was introduced to Darth Vader’s now fugitive apprentice, Starkiller—the unlikely hero who would ignite the flames of rebellion in a galaxy so desperately in need of a champion.

In the sequel, Starkiller returns with over-the-top Force powers and embarks on a journey to discover his own identity and to reunite with his one true love, Juno Eclipse. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Starkiller is once again the pawn of Darth Vader—but instead of training his protégé as a ruthless assassin, the dark lord is attempting to clone his former apprentice in an attempt to create the Ultimate Sith warrior. The chase is on – Starkiller is in pursuit of Juno and Darth Vader is hunting for Starkiller.

With all-new devastating Force powers and the ability to dual-wield lightsabers, Starkiller cuts a swath through deadly new enemies across exciting worlds from the Star Wars films - all in his desperate search for answers to his past.
  • Continue the galaxy-altering journey of Starkiller, Darth Vader's fugitive apprentice, that shapes the key events between Star Wars: Episode III and Episode IV.
  • Unleash the Force with more power and precision through improved controls and new powers, such as the deceptive Mind Trick, which turns enemies against their allies.
  • Discover the true power of Starkiller with Force Fury, where his attacks and Force powers are exponentially increased.
  • Improved targeting system enhances precision use of Force powers and greater interaction with puzzles and the environment.
  • Take combat to the next level with the ability to wield dual lightsabers and punish enemies with all-new combo attacks.
  • Experience the most life-like interactions with Pixelux Entertainment's Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) coupled with euphoria from Natural Motion Ltd and the powerful Havok Physics system.
  • Expanded customization options such as new costumes and power-enhancing lightsaber crystals.
  • Fight through all-new challenge levels designed to test and hone your fighting and Force power skills.
  • Skillfully manage your combat techniques to defeat a variety of brand-new enemies, which will culminate in epic boss battles.
  • Immerse yourself once again in the story that was honored with awards from the Writer's Guild of America and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.

Worth the sale price.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is an action-packed, over-the-top hack-and-slash game. If ever you wanted to slice right through an AT-AT with your lightsaber or fling Storm Troopers around with your force powers, then this might be the Star Wars game for you. Unfortunatley it does suffer many techincal problems, framerate issues, and does not play well with Radeon-based graphics cards. The game picks up where they first title left off. You play Starkiller, the apprentice of Darth Vader as he struggles with his own personal identity, and his place in aiding the Rebellion. There are multiple endings, but the game is short and at times frustrating, so the replay value is low. It only takes around five hours to play through the game and much of is taken up by repetitive boss battles that start off interesting, but become an exercise in frustration afrer repeating the same mechanic four or five times.

Play it like a fanfic of the first game.

This is a tough review, because this game is both great and bad. It's bad in a way, because it truly is short (took me 6 hours to beat the first time, and would probably take less time now.) Not only that, but it actually noticeable repeats content and enemies even within those 6 hours. You will see a lot of the same quicktime events and minibosses repeat, just with tweaks. It really does not have much content. There is a time trial mode, but honestly those minigame things bore the shit out of me. However, what it does *beautifully*, is conclude Star Wars the Force Unleashed 1. In fact, this game should not even exist on its own. It should have been ending DLC for the first game. It would have been amazing DLC. I'm not going to spoil it, but if you play it directly after the first game's bittersweet ending, then this game is incredibly uplifting and interesting. The story is like a really, really good fanfiction of the Star Wars universe. It shows you an alternate history of the Rebellion, where true love prevails against all odds, and everything ends very happily, in stark contrast to the first game. Not only that, but the combat and graphics are both super fluid and fun. Moreso than the first game. If you liked the first game then you need to get this, but wait until it's on a sale for less than $10, and don't expect it to be better than the first game. Just expect it to be the *real ending* of the first game.

Way too short

4 hours. That's all it took me to complete the story. Battles are repetitive, and sometimes the controls are just plain frustrating: "Ho, there are enemies were the camera is pointing, but not where the character is facing? You must want to shoot your lightning into the air then!" Fixed cameras are never good. It was a major pain in the 1st game, and still is. The prompts for what buttons to press are way too small, most of the time I don't even see them until I get my ass kicked. So yes, that 4 hours of gameplay was with me failling in so many fights. Graphics often flicker durring cutscenes, or some objects will just disappear or pop in. I even had a fight against a special enemy that, once the cutscene finished of me destroying him, it sent me back to where the first of this specific enemy type I killed was, so I had to walk all the way back. So why 2 stars and not 1? It's star wars, gota love shooting that lightning.

boring game with issues

the gameplay isn't bad (with xbox one controller) but it's like doing the same actions again and again... one sort of big ennemy = one sort of special kill the tearing is monstrous no vertical sync in options (but you can activate the one in nvidia menu) and for now after 4 hours of play, I have a cinematic that always reboot without possibility to pass it :/ (I reinstalled the game, same issue) gtx 1080 - i5 7600k with latest drivers

Bad sequel, crashfest

The port of this game is absolutely awful. I tried all kinds of fixes for the game but it constanlty keep crashing and freezing on me. I use AMD gpu. I was able to get to about 3/5 of the game before crashing and restarting became a chore and had to uninstall the game. Every aspect of this game is worse than its predecessor ,maybe except movement and animations which are a bit more fluid. I just feel like this game was extremely rushed, enemy encounters are boring, story is bad, UI looks like it was done in 5 minutes. Not enough graphics options and support, which brings out all the issues with crashing and freezing.
