Cool story and gadges
Graphics are done quite well, pretty athmospheric. I liked the weapon selection andthe TMD offers interesting options.

Hidden Gem from 2010
It's basically Bioshock meets Half Life 2 with a pinch of Metro 2033. Highly recommend. 7/10

Solid 4 out of 5
Good action and fun mechanics. Weird plot and iffy Russian. I wish they did more research. There were times I rolled my eyes hard at another silly line. But that didn't make me hate the game. It's ok for one playthrough. Miles behind my favorite FPS, Bioshock. Lacking a bit in certain aspects. Not exactly memorable, besides the very beginning when the atmosphere was all tense and horror-like. That and the train boss battle. After that it's all the same.

good but fiddly
I just played this. I realyl enjoyed it - a good linear FPS with good graphics and a nice feel to the game, with some interesting weapons, skills and enemies. my only issues were, firstly, my usual dislike of checkpoints which means i end upplaying at an easier skill level than i otherwise would. secondly, the limitation of only two weapons being carried which meant i stuck with the assault rifle and shotgun the whole time and rarely got to use the other weapons - I had to just use the others occassionally when they provided them at opportune moments. it was also annoying when i picked another weapon temporarily and then got carried away by a moving platform and didn't get to find another assault rifle for quite some time, causing real problems Thirdly, the weapon changing, which i found really fiddly - the TMD device isn't in one of your weapons slots but it switches away from your weapon when used - plus the mousewheel didn't work well for changing weapons - trying to switch quickly to one or other of my weapons often left me with the wrong thing in the wrong situation when i had multiple enemies closing in. this meant i didn't enjoy the more intense combat siuations as much as i otherwise would. overall though it is well worth playing and i'm sure i'll reply at some point in the future.

Decent linear first person shooter.
It's basically like Timeshift with a more cohesive storyline although I found it a bit predictable and drab. The graphics are nice especially in the more colorful levels when you go back in time. Most of the game you will find very easy and very linear with enough distractions to keep you interested with what will happen next. You also will notice quite a few similarities with Half Life 2 and a swirl of Bioshock in certain areas. It's definitely a "me too" game rather than an innovator. I don't blame GOG for the absolutely ridiculous price. I have a feeling this was more of a condition by Activision for it to be on GOG DRM free. I could be wrong, but either way I can't imagine paying over fifteen for this game. I bought a sealed copy over at the E of Bay for about six. So if you are interested in this game game your wallet should know what do from here.
