Raiden Legacy

I played Raiden in the arcade a ton and really loved it. This version feels pretty much identical in almost every way. I am not 100% certain but the laser shot sounds different than I remember. Not a huge deal unless you use headphones to play like I do then it just sounds a little .. off compared to the rest of the game. My only other complaint is that the game won't save your score or at least if it can its not obvious. So when you complete a game it says you got a new high score of X. If you dont continue it dumps you back to the title screen which means you've quit the game. If you start a new one your high score is now gone so you will again be greeted with you got a new high score of X. I was hoping when they had that screen it would archive the score in a text file or something somewhere for comparison but no such luck. That being said its a lot of great games for only $10. Just wish it had Raiden II

So i played like 2 minutes to Test but i already like it : yeah i know the screen is sqeezed yeah its hard BUT IT IS AMAZING:tight gameplay , tight controls , many poeple have running problems but on my pc it just works fine I say for just 10 bucks you should give it a try

so I'll still need my trusty copy of Raiden Project. But getting the Raiden Fighters games on my PC is a dream come true. Can't recommend these highly enough.

There have been a lot of bad things said about this compilation, as it's a bit buggy. I'm using a pretty new gaming PC, so the issues I've run into have been fairly minimal. The only lag I'm experiencing is at the title screen/main menu, which is a little annoying but it's fine since I'm not experiencing any problems during gameplay. I love Raiden 1 and 2, and these Fighters games fit in pretty nicely with the series on a number of levels. Love the first entry of Fighters just about as much as the original games, in fact. Fighters 2 and Jet are a little busy for my tastes though. A lot of the time you'll be left wondering what it was that hit you, because it's impossible to see the bullets behind all the fires and explosions. Still fun games though, and feel very in line with what's to be expected. In my opinion, it's good purchase. Shame it doesn't include Raiden II as well, but hopefully they'll add that somewhere down the line.
