Project Warlock is a first person shooter that fans of Doom, Hexen and Wolfenstein cannot miss. It serves you an exploding cocktail of bullets, spells and monsters. In Project Warlock you battle through 60 levels of non stop action packed with bloodthirsty enemies and challenging bosses. The game offers not just firepower, but perk-based character development, weapon upgrades and unlockable spells system. This high-quality independent gem is priced to appeal to fans of polished indie titles and seekers of classic fps experience alike.
Back in April 2018 hundreds of gamers had a chance to experience an early build of Project Warlock and gave their enthusiastic feedback. The following six months the Buckshot team, with it’s showrunner Jakub Cislo, spent on polishing the game to bring you the most complete and satisfying experience. The end result is something you can check for yourself.
Wow! A perfect fusion of quake and heretic on wave of electronic musical goodness! Never liked shhoters, got ADDICTED AFTER THIS ONE ! ! ! Money well spent, nice job ! ! !
I really wanted to like this game, I have a huge soft spot for this kind of art style in first person shooters. But the 3rd boss just sucked out any enjoyment I had. I'm not sure how many hours it took to finally beat but in the end the whole fight was over in just a few seconds.
I mean, each time the fight lasted just a few seconds. So after hours of playing a few seconds over and over and over again when I finally beat it, it was pretty anticlimactic. The whole proccess was really tedius and just left me with a bad tast in my mouth. All the things that had been minor anoiances before became glaring issues, as the game had burned away any good will I'd had for it.
Also, the whole rest of the game is really easy by comparison. Even the final boss fight. Normally I'd say if you can get over that hump you'll probably be fine, but that wasn't my experience. That experience ruined the rest of the game for me.
Dissapointingly, this is not recomended by me.
This is coming from the target demo: an oldschool 90's fps player.
Pros: The guns feel great. The graphics options are plentiful. The progression system is just ok.
Cons: The levels are poorly designed for what they're trying to be. They're bad enough that I thought they were procedurally generated at first. Games in this genre live and die by their map design. This one loses most of its stars just for that.
Seriously. Get Ion Maiden (Ion Fury?) instead if you want a build engine callback.
Pretty solid maze shooter with fair non hit scan enemies. There is an upgrade system which some might enjoy but I prefer games that just give me the tools. Ammo can be pretty scarce and some of the environments or visual style can get a little samey after a while.
