What happened to the humans? Set in a post-apocalyptic world strewn with cast-off pieces of machinery, Primordia tells the story of Horatio Nullbuilt, who finds his peaceful existence threatened when a rogue robot steals his power core—the sole source of energy fueling his ship and keeping him alive. To recover it, the robot and his companion, Crispin, must leave behind their idyllic home for Metropol, the city of glass and light. Their quest to reclaim what has been taken away will lead Horatio to unexpected discoveries about his origins—and a new understanding of the humans who walked the earth before him.
Puzzles that emphasize logical thinking and exploration rather than trial and error or pointless backtracking.
A streamlined interface, player-friendly design combined with the challenge and depth of the classics.
Features over fifty hand-drawn rooms to explore, dozens of distinctive characters to meet, and gorgeous painted cutscenes to soak in.
This game truly deserves 5 stars. Old-school point and click adventure, dark and intriguing setting, thematic similarities with Planescape: Torment, fascinating and original story. You can tell it was crafted with lots of love and the result is a very beautiful, touching and imaginative experience.
I got this game bundled up among 5 other games on one of Gog's typical sales. I had approached this game with quite a bit of cynicism. I had watched the trailer, and read some of the reviews posted here, but for whatever reason I didn't exactly believe them. The game just seemed too odd to me.
After downloading and playing the very first bit of the game, I was immediately drawn to it. Despite the fact that its a retro style 2D point and click, there was something immediately charming about it. I wasn't able to stop playing it until I had finished it, and completed a few of the other endings as well.
It looks simple enough, but there is quite a lot of depth in the characters. Each of the characters themselves have their own individual personalities which adds to the story. The voice acting (main character being voiced by the guy that narrated Bastion) and soundtrack are well blended.
Need less to say, this has honestly become one of my favourite games.
I cannot honestly say that this game took me all by surprise, because I had heard it was good long before I got the opportunity to play it. But I was still surprised to see it live up to all my expectations, and beyond.

Primordia is *very* good. Not only has it great setting, characters (with some really nice voice acting), cool and logical puzzles, unique art style and music that puts you right in the mood, but is also masterfully made in such a way that all this fits together creates a greater whole, various elements complementing each other to make something truly exceptional.

You will not find the puzzle/plot distinction here. Aside from the occasional cutscenes, puzzles just *are* the plot and serve both to present you a challenge and immerse you into the world even further. And it is the kind of world I willingly wanted to be immersed into. It is post-apocalyptic in the best sense of this phrase (think Fallout or Mad Max 2) - bleak and depressing at times, but not afraid to throw a mood-enlightening joke now and again.

tl;dr - If you like adventures games at all, you will love Primordia. Great game, although I wouldn't mind it being a little longer.
One of the best Adventures i have played so far, and i have started with Monkey Island 1 and 2. If you are into dystopian steampunk then you will love this game.
I've never been much of a fan of point and click adventures, but Primordia just pulled me in. I had to know everything! I'm currently doing a second play through so that I can ensure that I get all of the story.
Every character has a strong personality, making you even more caught up in the world and story.
I also enjoyed that the game is not too long, it stays quite fast paced, but without it feeling rushed.
Definitely get!
