What happened to the humans? Set in a post-apocalyptic world strewn with cast-off pieces of machinery, Primordia tells the story of Horatio Nullbuilt, who finds his peaceful existence threatened when a rogue robot steals his power core—the sole source of energy fueling his ship and keeping him alive. To recover it, the robot and his companion, Crispin, must leave behind their idyllic home for Metropol, the city of glass and light. Their quest to reclaim what has been taken away will lead Horatio to unexpected discoveries about his origins—and a new understanding of the humans who walked the earth before him.
Puzzles that emphasize logical thinking and exploration rather than trial and error or pointless backtracking.
A streamlined interface, player-friendly design combined with the challenge and depth of the classics.
Features over fifty hand-drawn rooms to explore, dozens of distinctive characters to meet, and gorgeous painted cutscenes to soak in.
If you love adventure games for their atmosphere - this game has it covered completely. It has its own unique setting, excellent music, great landscapes, perfect voice acting. Definitely a favorite.
This game made me fall in love with Wadjet Games, and I still find it one of the best Point-and-Click games I've ever played, and you can see from the rating that most people agree with me. I find it hard to explain what I love about it so much, though. It has a compelling world, compelling characters, and you don't get bogged down in moon-logic puzzles. There are multiple endings, and it doesn't take too long.
I will admit it's not a paradigm-shifting game. It's not poetry in game form. It's not an 11/10. But it's very good, and definitely worth your time, and an amazing introduction into Wadjet games. I just wish they'd explore the world again.
Cool-looking adventure with an excellent, excellent story done in a classic mode. The robots sort of remind me of writer Clifford Simak's, but with more of an edge to them. I will certainly play again!
I've played this game twice and frankly the second playthrough was better than the first.
The story was wonderful and very well developed. The characters had depth and personality. Voice acting was top notch. I saw a review that indicated game play was easy. I did not find this to be so. I really had to think about some of the solutions and I admit I resorted to seeking hints to make some progress.
If you have not played this game, buy it. You will love it. I plan to go back and try different endings. This was a very immersive game for me. I hated to get to the ending as I wanted it to continue.
I just saw Wormwood is coming out with a new game, Strangeland, and it is already on my wishlist!
