Familiar yet different

I enjoy these sorts of RPGs a lot. Deadfire has a lot of familiar feel to how it works, so easy to navigate the mechanics, yet is quite different from others I've played (mostly DnD-type). The storylines are engaging as are the characters. There are lot of optional things to do. Definitely recommend.

Great CRPG with some odd inbalances.

If you really enjoyed the first one I would believe you would enjoy this one. Ton of different play styles and challenging levels of diffculty of play. The story is a really good extension and expansion of the lore and first story. With the raise level cap it is even more enjoyable. So far the only real down fall is their are some crazy hard fights I had to turn the diffculty level to just bypass the fight. I don't have 1 week free time to jsut spend figuring out how pass one big boss fight in the game. The expansion is noturious for this negative aspect.
