Don't, and you're dinner!

Abe is a first class Mudokon floor-waxer for RuptureFarms. He was catapulted into a life of adventure when he overheard plans by his boss to turn all the Mudokons into Tasty Treats as part of a last-ditch in Molluck the Glukkon's meat-packing empire. During his escape from RuptureFarms, Abe received a vision from the mysterious Big Face, showing Abe that he must not only rescue his fellow Mudokons, but also protect all of Oddworld's creatures from the predatory Magog Cartel.

Enter Oddworld's surreal sensory overload of pure gaming and claim your destiny. Saviour or salami? You decide.

You do not want to miss out on this one.

Oddworld abe oddysee is a work of pure genious. It drops you in the amazing world of odd with a cast of characters that you will remember for many years to come. Stunning backdrops and solid gamemechanics make this an unique experience where communication is a key element(and the occasional mind control :) ) The game is has a decent difficulty level if you just want to play trough it but if you attempt (like I did) to rescue all the 100 mudokons then be prepared for the occasional frustration and an intense feeling of achievment and sadisfaction. Abe's oddysee is a Must Have and should be part of everybody's collection!!! The sequal (abe's exodus) is bigger , better and even more fun than this one so be sure to give it a try

Good ol' days

Like many others I have the nostalgia-googles on while looking at this game. Even if I didn't, the game is still exceptionally well executed, amazing story and an atmosphere that would send any Slender-scared kid running to their parents crying in fear. I remember being scared of moving further into the game, but also intrigued so much by the story and the puzzles that I HAD to continue. The graphics themselves are brilliant, even to this day the game still looks good: This is what happens when you go for a unique style: It'll stick through the ages!

THIS is 2D platforming gold

In recent years 2D platformers are the gaming equivalent of a found footage movie, they spark that ' Oh god, please, not another lazy dev with no originality!!! ' I had come to the point where I never wanted to see another 2D game as long as I lived, let alone play one. Then I played this again and realised it was,and still is,the best 2D platformer series ever.I still avoid other 2D games like the plague, but Abe never gets old.An HD enhanced edition would be kool,as long as they leave everything else alone, but is not necessary.

One of the greatest platformer ever

One of the best platformer game that i have ever played. Really good but also underrated. The game's story is pretty dark, involving enslavement, and cruelty towards mudokons, but there are humours in the game. The gameplay is really revolutionary with its "gamespeak", I dont see anything like this anywhere else. Good job for the developer for making such a great game.

An impressive platforming feat.

The thing that first impressed me, way back in the day, was the care that was given to the characters from the opening cinematic, no the the first thing Abe says, on. With that in mind, the rest of the game is a masterfully done puzzler of a platformer with a decent amount of challenge. The combination of these two elements, although not by any means perfect, make a game well worth every penny.
