No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Not a game for everyone.

(I have this on Steam) This is not a game for everyone, but it is a gem for some of us. This is a game about resource and inventory management. Basically, you're on a quest for rare recipes and the resources to make them. Getting to the center of the galaxy just gives you a direction to travel . . .. Unfortunately, the game is light on content. I will echo a sentiment I've seen on-line that this feels more like a very polished beta (think Subnautica) where it's very pretty, and what little it does have is very, very polished, but, you're waiting for updates to give you new things to do. While on-foot combat is acceptable, the in-space combat is atrocious. Having extremely muddy controls is bad enough, but having to stop flying/fighting in the middle of a dogfight to craft components to repair my shield, then repair my shield, makes it very, very annoying. Sure, I could just drop materials directly into my shield, but, it just makes for an unpleasant situation. Avoid space fights. I must be one of the few people who haven't had anything but a good experience from No Man's Sky. I've got a 4770k @ 3.5 ghz (I'm unambitious), and a GTX 970 with 12gb of RAM. I get a consistent 60 fps @ 1080p (my eyes aren't good enough to see at a higher resolution than that, so I've saved money by not buying a 4k monitor). I've had ONE crash to desktop, and one other issue (three times) where the game slowed down. Not I had a frame-rate drop, but the game just went from running smoothly to running smoothly VERY SLOWLY. It took me 5 minutes to traverse a distance in space that listed it should take 45 seconds. Getting out of the game and back in fixed it. I haven't seen any of the issues that other people have with the game.

(3.5/5) It's not the worst game

First of all many of the reviewers lie either about their PC specs or the games performance. I'm running it on an i5 3750k, 8GB RAM, GTX 970, Windows 10 64 Bit and use a SSD. So far I have no fps issues whatsoever at 1080p with max details. Nothing on my PC is overclocked. And since I'm playing at 1080p and some even at higher resolutions it is not hard locked at 720p either. Once every few hours there can be a memory leak, which kind of puts the game in slow motion. A restart fixes it. Just make sure you save the game first. Personally I enjoy the game a lot. You need to go about it with a certain mindset though. Don't expect a deep story and quests like in Mass Effect or anything like that. And if you hate repeatative games also stay away. All you can do right now is exploration, mining, some crafting, upgrade ship / multi-tool / inventory and maybe some basic trading. For me the exploration and mining alone is fun. Most of the ships also look quite cool and the number of planets you can visit is insane. Plants and animals often look quite similar, but that doesn't bother me too much. It is what it is - a huge procedurally generated sandbox with nice visuals. Of course not everything is perfect. Here are some things that need work or aren't even ingame yet: - space combat needs quite some work (reloading shields through inventory sucks) - more weapon types would be fun on ground and in space - on ships with 40 slots and lower the inventory layout often sucks - no visual ship customization - no quests/missions apart from the main story - no base building yet - no multiplayer yet Let's hope HG put all the money to use. They have to fix quite a few things and add missing ones. Xavier

After all these years

I just tried No Mans Sky again after 7 years since first playing it and,,,wow. Just. Wow. What a different/way better game. This game is janky. I love a little jank in my games. There is sooo much to do. It's like that mystery house in California with tons of rooms to run around and look at all built crazy on top of each other. I've played 55hrs and am just getting into the deeper systems/crafting stuff and can't wait to play more. Really looking forward to Light No Fire. Thanks Hello Games.

I have never enjoyed a game more.

Even if it needs a special kind of person to enjoy this game for over 1000 hours, I am so glad I'm one of them.
