No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Dissapointment.

Whtat i didn't like mainly in this game is that every planet has life on it. It kills the immersion for me completely. It's a universe and life should be rare instead of being something common. There should be more planets without flora and fauna, with harsh conditions on them (like storms strong, winds, extremely high/low temperature etc.) These planets could have some ruins or dungeons on them for exploration or some rare resources (so there's a reason to visit them). Instead we get universe that is entirely populated with life which is extremely unrealistic.

Simply amazing

No mans sky is a beautiful sandbox game. Pirate ships, space machines, guns, lasers, cute monsters, ugly monsters, friends, enemies, base building... and it just keeps getting better. With every update, devs show their love and dedication to the game, adding multiple new features (major and minor) as well as bug fixes.

No Man's Sky

The style of this game is very appealing. But carefully explore YouTube videos and read reviews before buying because it's slow, pointless, and the UI, while attractive, is not intuitive. As well, ensure your graphics can handle it since it seems to require at least a GeForce 30 series to run as seen in videos.

Good - could become great.

First off, I have not had performance issues. Framerate is fine, and no crashes. i5-3570K, 8GB RAM & HD7990. This is not to discredit those with issues, but to say that they're not guaranteed for all players. As for the game: it's pretty good. The haters have a point when they say that Hello Games did not promote this game honestly, as I've been playing for several hours and definitely haven't had an experience that corroborates the screenshots on this page. That said, if your primary interest in No Man's Sky is to simply explore a virtual universe and collect resources to survive, you may love this game. Thus far my experience has been highly enjoyable - for me space exploration is its own reward. I don't need a compelling story line, combat or multiplayer. Many of the planets are simply breathtaking from the surface. Especially planets with large planets or moons nearby. Points of interest are definitely welcome to inject some excitement however, and the game doesn't do too well in this regard. There are quite a lot, but the repetitiveness of them is a tad annoying. Learning alien languages and upgrading gear is enough for now, but I think it's important that Hello Games work on DLC asap. This game has ridiculous potential, and Sean Murray & co. seem committed to ongoing development. I signed up for infinite space exploration, and that's exactly what I got. 5 stars if some sweet DLC drops.

Not a proper review, just some thoughts!

After having read and heard nearly unending criticism for the condition of the PC release of No Man's Sky, I decided I would take my chances on buying it tonight to test how my system fared against it. I knew, sooner or later, I'd be getting the game either way, and so I went ahead and downloaded it. I lost, in the best way, two and a half hours of my time this evening. I had no intention of playing it for such a stretch, in a single setting, as I was half-sure it was going to perform atrociously and be enough to force me to wait for a few patches down the line. Not so, at all. I lucked out, and have experienced (for the most part) excellent performance. I do run into occasional lag/brief frame-rate decreases, but it's been so very enjoyable to play, and I spent most of my time on the planet on which I began. It could, and I hope it does, stand to improve in the performance department a great deal (the system I'm running should be getting a solid 90 FPS at all times with this game, and it's not), HOWEVER, the atmosphere and immersion I've experienced, shaped by the beautiful color palette, art style, and choice of ambient soundtrack, have been more than enough to help me gloss over the, in my case, mostly minor bugs delivered along with the final release. I am writing this not to sway people to purchase it, and by all means you should probably wait a couple of weeks so a couple/few more kinks are sorted; I'm merely writing that, contrary to nearly everything you have probably read/watched up to this point, it is possible to fully enjoy this game and perhaps achieve a perfectly tolerable frame-rate and gameplay experience. I'm loving it thus far. Have fun!
