I originally had No Man's Sky on PS4, and although many were disappointed what was offered at launch, it still offered me a chance to explore the stars. They have added extra content over the years, but what ultimately got me to hate and despise the game was how with every update they would re-invent the wheel and spit on the player's face for any effort already seen. Fully upgraded Multi-Tools, Spaceships, Freigthers, Bases, sorry nope, it has all been wiped away. Discover everything all over again, LOL. Therefore, when the game would be updated, I would just say: neat, and not touch it. But recently, with the latest update that added the Corvettes, which you can build yourself kind of, and because the game was on discount, I bought it on GOG. I have played it for a while now, and it is the same old game but everything in it seems to be designed to take ever more of the player time's and effort. Remove gunk, repair parts after finding resources and what not, and for a reward that is nowhere near appropriate for the hoops jumped through. And with the online aspect, you may encounter other players, but they will flicker like mad most of the time. And when flying in space, the Corvettes have no collision and will suddenly just spin madly for no reason. So if you have never played it, it is going to be a lovely experience. But if you have, it just offers the same old with more things added to just waste your time. But on the brightside, at least there are YouTube videos to explain everything. So, since they wanted my review, it is now written and added.
