No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Beautiful and Massive space adventure

After starting this game in early 2020, after 3 years of playing, No Man's Sky is a game that I keep very deeply in my heart. The game is NOT perfect, can be repetitive and buggy at times and is kinda slow, but somehow I think this all makes part of the overall experience. But beware that the GOG version receives updates after Steam, so it's kinda annoying when you are trying to play with your friends when they come out. The community is incredible, very active and creative. The developers are truly passionate people that love what they're doing, pumping tons of new content and expeditions over the years. Just buy and see for yourself, after all, Hello Games care about their craft and don't see you as a big ambulant wallet.

No Mans Sky a Space Odyssey

No Mans Sky is possibly one of the best space games for anyone who wants to step into the sci fi genre of games. The game has activities ranging from mining, trading, exploration, become a space pirate, fishing, scanning, dog fighting (and you can change the auto aim if you want a more difficult experience. Overall as a space games enthusiast I would recommend this game to non space game veterans, and space game veterans alike. Definately a 10/10

Inch deep, mile wide

Unfortunately, this game is clearly not worth the $60 price tag. The first few hours are quite enjoyable, but then you quickly discover that every planet, space station, land base, alien artifact, and cave is exactly the same. Even all of the aliens are essentially the same. For an exploration game, that is death. Why explore if there's nothing new to see? Is there a compelling story to keep you grinding? There's no voice acting, no cinema scenes, no real story, nothing to entice you to keep exploring. The only incentive to keep flying from planet to planet is to follow a vague entity known as "Atlas," who is represented by cryptic RPG-like paragraphs of text that appear on the screen after interacting with alien artifacts. That may sound mysterious, but trust me, it is not compelling. So, exploration is boring and there's no story, but is there at least a complex system of crafting so you have something to do while you play? No... sorry. There is only an "upgrade system" where you can upgrade your gun, jetpack, and ship. You can't actually "build" anything other than a hyperdrive or a scanner. I've played RPGs a decade old with better crafting systems, and those games weren't even focused on it. OKAY! But, AT LEAST, like the developers said, it is multiplayer so you can play with your frie--- WAIT, whut? Oh, haha, no, it's not multiplayer. You're just supposed to aimlessly fly through 18 Quintillion planets all exactly the same taking pictures of cats and upgrading your hyperdrive you can do it FAASTEEER! Weeee Don't buy this game.

A Little Perspective

There have been 3 big updates for this game with many improvements and fixes since the original release in Aug 2016 which had lots of problems so old reviews should be taken with skepticism. The developers are still working hard on this game and from what I can see they are trying, fairly successfully, to make amends for the circus that was the original release. +0.5 stars for customer loyalty. Performance: 3/5 I'm a computer expert, software engineer and play a LOT of games. This is THE MOST technically demanding game I have ever played! It does work as expected though. At release, there were some real problems that have since been fixed but most of the reviews giving this game bad ratings because of performance is because their machine isn't adequate. -1 star because many machines simply will not be able to run this game. -1 star because this game is clearly a port to PC and not optimized as well as it should be. Gameplay: 3/5 Meh. I actually kinda like it. it's addictive but I can't say it really feels like a 'game'. It's hard to nail down how to summarize this thing. If you like sim city or minecraft you might enjoy this. With v1.3, they have made some big improvements, adding missions and a 30hr campaign so +1 star but it still all feels like an afterthought. Way too much grinding though. Art: 5/5 The universe is stylized. If you can except that and appreciate the artistic style and the fact that almost everything in this game is computer generated, it's quite impressive. Music/Audio: 5/5 Even the music is computer generated (at least partly). It's always different. Pretty cool! It sounds great too, if you like techno (I do). UI/UX: 1/5 I hate half-arsed ports. There is a reason I buy games for PC instead of consoles and that is because I don't like the console experience. Minimal effort has been invested to make this game work on PC. On a separate note, even for a console game, the UI is HORRIBLE and buggy. They should fire the UI guy.
