No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

100-hour review

After 100 hours playing, I can say with determination that NMS is the best open-space-game-simulation-ever-made. Worth every second, and with the survival mode I'll rate it over 5 stars. Should try if you want to feel a very useless little-carbonbased entity in the vast universe.

Works for me :D

First the technical stuff: Win 7 64 bit ultimate GTX 660 Ti 2GB 8GB DDR3 RAM Intel Xeon E3-1230 v2 @ 3.30 Ghz Samsung SSD 850 EVO With everything on ultra, I get 35-55 fps. If I turn down shadows or Super Sampling I get a 45-60 fps. Got all the drivers updated and well everything one should'nt have to ask a game developer to do. I read a lot of ranting on the devs for not including this or that in the installation, but if someone isn't up to date or just has no clue how their computer works, well don't blame that on the devs. I took one star off because of the technical issues because I also hate it when games are being rushed out. But here also, not the dev's, but rather the publisher's or one of the big sponsor's *cough* Sony *cough*. Now finally for the gameplay! :D Wonderful game, wonderful optics, wonderful vision. Now there is a lot to be wishing for. Better textures, better management of the items, multiplayer aspects and so on. BUT, the game is how it was announced to be. Nobody did lie. And the only ones who created a hype where the players and the media, not the devs themselves. If you hype anything over the top, you will be disappointed. I love SciFi, Space, Exploration, Collecting and upgrading. That's my style. Hated Mincraft because of the graphics and the characters I couldn't identify with but loved Dragon Quest Builders. Somehow this game feels like a bit of both. It's a survival and exploration game in space. You are almost alone in the whole wide universe. That is a wonderful atmosphere and sometimes you feel the loneliness and nothingness. But that's something I love in this game. I also like what this game can become and what kind of games will follow, being inspired by this one. So if you like this kinda game, get it. If you don't, go play something else and stop rating it down without even playing it to give a reasonable opinion. If you don't wanna pay 60 bucks, wait.

Great since v1.32

Knew on release this game would be a hugely massive game world void of... anything. For some reason I checked its store page on steam not long after 1.32 and reviews were 'mostly positive' so I read some reviews, checked the last few change logs and since it was on sale I jumped onto GOG and brought it. I'm an old gamer where nothing is new and most games are poor copies of game gone by but I'm quite enjoying NMS and I haven't got into these sort of games since they interested me back when 3D was still new and fresh. This game seems to have come a very long way, the devs seem keen to deliver on their promises and the 50 or so hours I've played so far have left me wanting more. Since 1.32 this is a good game.

Fun Adventure Game

I know the game got a lot of bad press at release. When I told my friends I was diving into No Man's Sky, they warned me that it was a scam. I'm glad that I ignored the negative reviews and checked it out on sale. It's probably worth full price, to be honest, at least if you go in with the right expectations. The procedural generation bit about planets was certainly oversold. A lot of the planets resemble each other, and it's a shame that the designers didn't make more things just exclusive to certain classes of planets. For instance, there's one particular creature that's been in all three star systems that I've explored that whips out like a planet to beat my poor character in the face. But the views from space are great, the resource harvesting/management is great and interesting, and the way the galaxy is set up is really, really interesting to me. I'm looking forward to exploring deeper in the game, and I want to let you know that the early bad press has been addressed (at least in part!).

Amazing open world game

I installed this game a few days ago and I’m loving it! It’s a really amazing game for exploration-games lovers, it let’s you freely travel between planets and systems, discovering new plants, animals, minerals, environments and climates. Almost everything is upgradeable: you can buy new ships and add new technologies, expand your suit technologies and inventory, add new technologies to your multitool, and freely create your freighter base as you want. Definitely recommended if you’re into this kind of games!
