No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Think Space Odyssey, don't expect Kubric

If you're going to get this one PC, play it safe and make damn sure your rig's specs meet the recommended requirements as a bare minimum because you could easily run into technical difficulties - Unfortunately, I cannot specifically comment on the PC version as I was attempting to run it on a Windows 7 machine where it crashed out of the gate every time (even now). I can give you general insight into the game having both the XBOX and PlayStation releases. Now that's out of the way... Launch: I can't say I refunded my PS4 copy of the game in anger from being cheated, because I enjoyed what was present and traded it in once NMS had played out all it had to offer. Foundation / Pathfinder: I was curious and found my brief return a mildly satisfying one with the introduction of base building, vehicular mayhem and the introduction of my favourite mode - Permadeath! Next to the Present: Yeah, yeah, I know! Curiosity killed the cat... I bought it on XBOX however many months later and was pleasently surprised by the overhaul. With No Man's Sky having been overhauled to deliver the experience (more or less) promised from 2016 - curb you enthusiasm if you're looking for the next Han Solo power fantasy! This game is geared more toward the late Arthur C. Clarke's brand of science fiction with heavy focus placed on exploration and discovery. But! It's NMS is bo no means a perfect experience, but despite all that NMS' constantly evolving design shows the dev's striving to deliver a better one. If the idea of going on a space odyssey (either with familiar company, complete strangers or all on your own) appeals to you, then maybe give No Man's Sky a look in (assuming you're able to, technology permitting).

Knowing the mistake can change

The update is great, let the players see the sincerity of the production team, and hope to be better and better in multiplayer online.

another survival game in alpha stage

To be fair, I bought this game mainly because of stellar meme review done by internet historian "The Engoodening of No Man's Sky": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5BJVO3PDeQ I probably imagined some other game in my mind and I am spoiled by other survival games, but it looks ok for what developer intended - if I was 10 years old I would be fooled by the idea of exploration possibilities. I generally do not like games, that impose WASD over directional keys, as that combination of keys arise in times, when mouse was of no great use to action games, but that might be a nitpick, that would require overhaul of UI and HUD which I am not using. Well, I reverted to WASD after a while, because they make sense to use with other keys, that has to be used a lot in this game. There is some repetition element, that is related to broken boxes - I wish I did'nt had to collect metal scrap and organic waste this way - it would make more sense to collect metal scrap by converting those broken metal items with gun and collect organic waste from bodies of animals, as currently they are sliding away. In a way this game reminds Daggerfall - seems to be the same procedurally generated feeling of emptiness - same things everywhere. Somehow Minecraft made this feeling to go away with proper biomes. I wish there were added some local regional mysteries to uncover - that would not need to hop and go for another planet. Lack of planetary map is disorienting - I do not see technical reasons not to use rudimental ones and given the futuristic setting, it seems unreasonable not to have them, but it is up to developer to come to conclusion that this game needs planetary maps - integrated with scanning. 4/5 - there are still many things to work on - like checking files if they are corrupted

Great game just getting better

I generally don't do reviews but it's only fair I think to support NMS in some way, god knows, they haven't asked for a penny past the purchase price. I bought this game a couple of years ago, it still seemed a risk but I was curious as hell after reading continuous stories over the years of the new content, and improvements that Hello Games had been making, and you know, they were fair. The game had plenty of content when I got it and they just kept adding more since. It's an absolute joy to play, still being supported and improved and there isn't a single xpac or microtransaction in sight. I cannot believe the way that HG are developing. They're literally creating a new game (Light no fire) and using what they learn and develop in that, to upgrade and improve No Man's Sky. I don't think I can name a single other game that's benefited from this kind of support at all, let alone 6 years after launch. Planet generation has just had amajor overhaul, new systems are being added, old ones improved. Combat is getting better, activities are increasing in number, graphics and effects keep being updated and improved... Amazing stuff.

No Man's 'Brilliance!'

I will start by stating that I am new to the genre, (whichever classification this game comes under). I had had my eye on this game though for a couple of years given it's high anticipation and what appeared to be exemplary environments. However I didn't make the purchase until 2020, due to the overwhelmingly critical reviews it received from those whom had already made the purchase. But WOW! I'm glad I did! This game is immense! I have seen nothing like it, each planet is colossal, requiring days at the least to explore, and all are distinctly unique and incredibly beautiful in their own way. The graphics is exceptional, I imagine it might challenge some systems and give them a bumpy ride, but with my GTX1060 card, I get a largely flawless experience. I have seen some comments saying it is not multiplayer, but it most certainly is, I have already bumped into a couple of other players on a space station called the Anomaly and you can always join a friends game or invite them to your own (unfortunately I don't yet have any friends :'(. The potential for construction is astounding to me, (I never played minecraft or anything like that) but you can effectively remodel planets as you see fit and research all kinds of construction camponents and materials for buildings, exo-suits, spacecrafts and more. You can create farms with all kinds of weird and wonderful organic life matter, from plants to animals and even turn some animals into your own mounted steeds. Then there are the humanoid races to discover, with their own histories, conflicts, languages and technologies for you to learn. Anyway, I'm waffling now. I am sure all of this info is available probably in the overview above, (obviously I haven't read it). My key point is: This game will bring you potentially years of limitless fun. Whatever mistakes had been made with it in the past, the patches they released seem to have fixed them all. BUY IT! :' )
