No Man's Sky: Voyagers update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Exploration^2

Played it since day one and even ordered the Explorers Edition. Even with all it's misshaps and some content previously shown not being available, this game still exceeds in the exploration part which on my behalf is what drove me to get it in the first place. Totally would buy again :)

It does not work

It promises a lot, but maybe it works on Playstation but on the PC the port is not successful. It starts but it is not playable, because I see just a white screen, no matter what I try. Asked a refund. No answer yet.

Promising update to a unique experience

I bought this game soon after its launch aware of its limits and prepared to enjoy the zen experience on its own merits. I was one of the few who enjoyed the original version, although I did reach the 20 hour burn out stage, and thereafter I only ran it for the occasional chillout session. But the new update looks promising, it definitely looks better, and I'm seeing more diversity of life and foliage around the planets. With the addition of space freighters the space battles seem a bit more important and the need to upgrade your ship's defense/offensive capabilities is becoming clear. After this, I'm hopeful there's more to come from the development team and looking forward to playing more and seeing what the next update brings. Also, I wavered on whether to get the GOG or the Steam version, and now I'm really glad I stuck with GOG; it streams well through the Nvidia Shield and GOG Galaxy works brilliantly for me.

Incoherent to the point of tedium

No Man's Sky does not know what it is supposed to be. I've tried to play it several times now, following each of the major content updates. Every time I just come away feeling like it is getting less coherent rather than more so. As a result, I've abandoned it for the last time and I see no reason to go back. I do not trust the developers to be working towards a consistent vision that leads towards a game that is actually enjoyable to play. It's not that the game has no worth at all, but that any of its positive traits are undermined by the fact that the connective tissue of the game design just isn't there. No Man's Sky feels a lot like the game equivalent of the recent slew of big budget Hollywood films that have been re-shot and re-edited to death so that what comes out on release is a committee-driven mess that ticks the boxes that people in a meeting decided should be there, but the thing that is missing is the time taken to allow the audience to connect and become invested in the characters. In No Man's Sky, you can create a checklist of features that is gradually increasing with each update that seem interesting in isolation. But what it lacks is the coherent thesis as to what the game is about and what motivates the player to continue. It's a game at war with itself, and anyone who plays it runs the risk of becoming collateral damage. I can certainly see how some people can find their own fun in the universe Hello Games have created, but I think that the proportion of people that is true for is a very narrow segment of the gaming public. Galaxy tells me that I've spent just shy of five hours playing No Man's Sky, but it feels like longer than that in the way that a flight takeoff being delayed five hours can feel like an eternity.

One Man's Lie

Wouldn't buy it if it was the last game on Earth.
