Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).
And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.
Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).
An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.
At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

A fun game if you disregard the butthurt
No Man's Sky was not worth the full $60 launch price at launch unless you are in the very specific niche audience the core game was designed for: which is 1. If you really, really love survival crafting games or 2. if you're a programmer who's just absolutely got to satisfy their curiosity about how the various graphical tricks were pulled off. If you aren't in one of those two groups, then wait for a price drop and/or a sale. But is the game fun? Yes, it is a fun game. You get to explore some alien planets, which are procedurally generated which means that they will of course feel samey after a while. But you get to mine stuff and shoot stuff and fly a space ship. It's not perfect, but it's also not bad.

A Waste of money
At releasedate the game didnt start and it took 2 days before a patch finally made it possible even to start the game. The first 2-3 hours were nice, but then i found out that it's repetitive and has close to no elements that a game should have. The entire game is nothing more than exploring, gathering resources to upgrade your weapons/tools (which you already max out in less than 4 hours) Billions of planets, but only 3 races (and no humans, guess they procedurally disappeared), every planet has the same space station and buildings, every building has one npc that never leaves his chair... There are a lot of technical issues that make the game crash even before it's fully loaded. Hello Games isn't responding to support request anymore, and completely fell silent. No updates, not even news about wtaht the plans are with this game, so 90% of the players already left the game. My advice is to stay away from this game since it's definatelty not worth tha AAA price.

Absolute rubbish.
I usually mange to find at least some positive aspects of things I review but have an overall bad impression of, but I just cannot do so here. See those flashy screenshots above on the game page? None of that is actually in the game. None. There are spaceships, I'll grant you. And you can fly them around variations of the same dead and uninteresting worlds, with or without toxic storms or fauna, but don't expect lush forests, huge animals, sandworms and any NPC carrying anything resembling a meaningful interaction opportunity. This game is entirely dead, has not fulfilled on any of its promises either prior to or post-release, and the developer seems to have gone underground after defrauding the entirety of the gaming community with this unfinished, buggy and utterly broken piece of rubbish. If anyone says this game delivers on any promise or attempts to say it is good in any way, they're suffering from a severe case of sunk money syndrome. Let this game slip into the annals of time as a cautionary tale, and let hellogames join 22cans in the gaming hall of shame.
