Welcome back to Neverwinter!

Bards sing tales of heroes in ages past, but they rarely mention those that are yet to become heroes. One such hero is a farmer in the small village of West Harbor. Raised by the elven ranger, Daeghun, as his own child, our hero will embark on a grandiose quest against the King of Shadows. Neverwinter Nights 2 is the tale of his deeds. His adventures continue in Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer. Our protagonist discovers that an ominous spell has fallen on him. A curse of perpetual hunger--one which can only be quelled by consuming the souls of spirits. In order to remove the curse, he has to travel to the Shadow Realm, which harbors dark secrets and tormented souls.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir gives as a breather from grand quests of destiny and epic ordeals. You simply assemble a group of four adventurers (either by carefully picking out each of their statistics and skills or by randomly re-rolling your characters until you find the ones that suit you) and go where the wind takes you. Just make sure to get a good look at the map as you will need it to explore the wide open region of Samarach and the Sword Coast. Then, yet another adventure: in an ancient and forgotten tomb you found an unusual mask. It made you quite powerful but changed your life into a living nightmare. Strange, terrifying visions torment your psyche. Every time you try to get rid of the accursed mask, it secretly makes its way back to you. There's just one solution: set sail for Westgate and discover the secret of the Night Masks in Neverwinter Nights 2: Mysteries of Westgate.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete is an epic RPG set in the fantasy world of the Forgotten Realms, one of the most popular campaign settings of Dungeons & Dragons. Use all the wicked spells, feats, and prestige classes from the D&D 3.5 rules. Create your characters any way you wish, choosing from a wide variety of races and subraces, such as Tiefling and Aasimar. As if the pre-made campaigns weren't enough, you can take the reins and use the powerful Obsidian Neverwinter Nights 2 Toolset to make your own adventures and share them with friends!

  • Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete includes the original game, and three expansions: Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate.
  • Create and host your own solo and multiplayer D&D adventures using the improved Neverwinter Nights 2 Toolset.
  • Rediscover many familiar locations and reunite with your companions from the Neverwinter Nights series.
  • More than 100 hours of immersive adventure across four campaigns, all rendered in breathtaking detail.

The choice is yours!

Great game, great story. This game offers a lot as it is and moreover there is a lot of user-made content. There are folks out there who manage and play on Roleplay servers, you can just google many communites, by simply writing "Neverwinter 2 Servers". I strongly recommend this title, it is worth the money, if you are able to engage the game for many hours this is one of the great titles to do. You will not regret if only you give it a chance. Surely there are newer games, but this one is really climatic and gives power to the community and the players. Are you going to have fun? You surely will unless you are not the type to like good story and demanding games, that give the player the choice of how he wants to have fun :)

Still my favorite!

Absolutely one of the best DnD-based RPGs ever made. Dark, difficult, and immersive, it continues to stand up to the heavy hitters on story, soundtrack, and micromanagement combat systems. I wish we could get another Forgotten Realms game out here, a NWN3 would be a dream come true.

The Best D&D Computer RPG

Imo honest opinion, Neverwinter Nights 2 & its expansions are the best what computer (or console) D&D RPGs have to offer to this day. It's very moddable for one, allowing extra 3rd party content and customizing the game and it's rules to your liking, just like a real table top game would. Even the base OC campaign is good, not exelent, but good. It's long, has lot of content and interesting characters. However, it's the Mask of the Betrayer that makes the game shine. The epic level campaign takes the game on new level with both story and character power. It is excelent. Storm of Zehir and Mysteries of the Westgate are fine. SoZ is better than MotW, mostly due to MotW being quite short and lacking in content. SoZ fails in RPG content, this is not a story of your character, as much as it is a... more kin to a table top session. It is less involved, but it has content, and the content is good. PS. NWN1 is still the definitive classic, and is more stylish, but NWN2 is the superior platform, and MotB is the supreme story out of all.

Changes for the worse

I have completed the campaign more times than I will admit because I loved it so much. Dialog has been tweaked heavily since the 2006 release. Some things are explained better and some are just weird. Like the encounter with the lizardfolk early in the game has an incoherent, if not simplified resolution now. Lots of the new dialog I encountered seemed inferior to the original voice actors. But what really is making it unplayable on my recent game is the AI target selection. It wants to run off attacking something new before it finishes off what it was already fighting more than I remember and more than I have patience for.

I'm so torn on this game

I've tried to enjoy this game countless times for at least a decade now and I finally might just be giving up on it. It seems like a great DnD game, but so hollow at the same time. My experience is limited to the OC, so maybe I should try something else... but I can't get past the broken AI. I went to a bandit camp and clicked on an enemy for my group to attack (after having to select my entire party). They looked at the enemy, then turned around and ran across the camp to a random archer on the other side of camp, aggroing the entire place. Limit the aggro range, go inside the camp headquarters, right-click on an enemy... 2 characters engage, in the middle of the room, and the other decides it needs to exit the room and circle around the hallway before entering the room from the other door..bringing 4 more enemies inside. No blocked doors initially either. I just can't keep trying and it's disappointing to feel like this over a game I see others view as a must play classic.
