Might and Magic® 6-pack Limited Edition

Might & Magic VI had a massive success upon release. And no wonder: it adjusted the traditional Might & Magic playing routine to the demands of the zeitgeist and scored. Although, in my humble personal opinion, the game lost some of the series’ uniqueness along with that. It became more mainstreamy, I suppose, with much fewer puzzles and more grinding combat. There is even a proper boss fight in the end. I thought this would be cool to experience again. It wasn't. For $10 I'd recommend it for nostalgia reasons only.

Overall this package is solid, you get Might and Magic 6, plus 1-5, however despite the claim this contains the World of Xeen CD version I can only say that claim is false. This contains a modified version of the original World of Xeen CD version, spells have been reorganised and no longer available to the appropriate character class. If you were wanting to play Might and Magic World of Xeen in its original form this product does not provide that experience. I can only assume this is a diskette version that they've added the voice to, and pre combined the Clouds and Darkside of Xeen. Again, Might and Magic 6 is a solid product, its a great version in the Might and Magic serires, graphics are ok, sound quality is good, and it has a good story to follow and keep you pushing through each area of the world. Also as far as I can tell so far Might and Magic 1, 2, and 3 are all in their original format. It's still worth buying, but just note this is not how World of Xeen was supposed to work. I have the original CD version with manuals, and what the manuals says does not match up with the GOG version of this game.
