The dungeon crawler GOAT <3
Fantastic loots, huge dungeons, various quests, captivating story : Might and Magic 6 is in my opinion the GOAT of the dungeon crawlers. When I first played this game for its release in 1998 - I was 9 back in time - I never went that far on the story. However, this game left a mark in me forever, and i still play it 25 years later and am still yet amazed by this masterpiece. Played in 2025, it may suffer of old school graphics, that i find personally nostalgics and ravishing. This game owns one of the best OST ever written, that envelops your journey through the world of Erathia. It's not an easy game, but so full of rewards. The loots are amazing, equip your party is a super fun part of the game. There is a correct variety of spells, and some can me a total game changer. A lot of different enemies, huge land variety... We also can notice that the game is a big open world, rare back in the days. If you begin in the Might and Magic series, maybe try the 7th first that's easier (and the 8th even more easier), but Might and Magic VI clearly tastes like nothing else. Thanks life for this.

Still one of my favourite games
I'm still going back to this game and always play it to finish and it still is a wonderful and compelling game, extremly rewarding with a well built world which allows hours of play. The soundtrack is beautiful and creats a great atmosphere. A game I will always recommend.

Sixcellent
I've tried first five installments, but I'm affraid those have only historic value now... feel free to disagree with me, but I hope you'll agree with me that the Mandate of heaven ties with the seventh game as the best in series. Apart from being the second RPG I ever played (first was BG, hard to beat start of RPG experience, those two, right?), this game is good in so many ways... I love the soundtrack and the immersive gameplay. In this game marries complexity of the old games with visual qualities of the newer ones. No other sequel brought so diffilcult and vast dungeons. Sadly, the story itself isn't that great, but when it comes to the look, personaly I think it looks the best from the whole series. In conclusion, if you want to taste the times where dungeons were dungeons and not just kindergarten, feel free to explore continent of Enroth.

Not a Review...But....
I have not seen great games often anymore. The days when games had crappy graphics also seemed to be all about concepts that you don't see often in AAA titles. Ironically, while triple-A is a money concept indie gamers are producing some of the best stuff we have not seen since the days of R6 or Ghost Recon, RTS games like what CaveDog used to make and RPGs that were more about new ways of advancing the genre than graphics. But progress made is not always progress. At least not from triple-A guys. On the other hand, we still do some pretty amazing first time concepts now and then before the publisher horks it up. Some examples: The Witcher Series, Dragon Age (First one please), System Shock 2, Bio-Shock (the first), Mass Effect (the one and only), KOTOR (or is it kotex), Dishonored, Portal Series, Half-Life, and a plug for the very original Thief. Yeah. Some of these are older and some are newer but let's face it. These kind are not coming out often and it is for that reason many of us, who still like gaming as games and not a lifestyle, career, whatever still ove the old games. These games, while shitty on graphics, at least remain something that is still fun.
