Immersive War action.
Really enjoying a game that I only played the demo of back when it was new. While the graphics aren't state of the art, they are actually pretty nice. The audio quality and sounds effects are good. This is hardly a new game, but it is challenging and frustrating enough to drive you nuts at times and make you happy at other times. Funny how the bad guys are such excellent shots! I recommend it.

Loose controls and poor hit detection.
This reminds me of Return to Castle Wolfenstein minus tight controls and gameplay. I'm not a huge FPS player but I do enjoy the nostalgia of games that worked really well within their limitations but this just isn't fun. Without responsive controls or hit detection it just feels like a grind (call me crazy but when I shoot a guy in the face repeatedly I think it should do something) Could be that I'm spoiled by more modern games but I'm sort of using Return to Castle Wolfenstein as a reference point and it just doesn't stack up. Not downright awful but not really fun either. I'd only recommend this if you were into the historical aspects or just really liked the series. Your $10 is much better spent on Farcry or really anything else.

Important game, not too much today
I bought this game as part of my nostalgia trip during which I played my favorite games from when I was a kid. MoH was one of them, however I never finished it when it came out for some reason. After playing it again after 20 years I remembered why. I agree with other reviewers that this game played important role in shaping the FPS genre we know today. If it was a good or a bad role is a completely different story. Unfortunately, this game dated pretty bad and things that were irritating back in 2000s are unbearable today. The AI is very primitive and based mostly on the simple scripts. In order to make the game challenging developers used 2 worst possible mechanics - high damage dealt by the enemies and poor visibility. As a result, compared to e.g. Half-Life, game that is 3 years older, MoH feels like a significant step back. You constantly quick save and quick load and try to memorize the script that is currently playing. Sure, it has its moments (D-Day and Omaha landing in particular) but as a whole it is mostly a chore to play. All in all, I would not recommend this game if you are not a die-hard fan. Ultimately, I'm glad that I bought because it brought back a lot of memories from a good time in my life, but without this it would be just an old, not-so-fun WWII FPS. Just to point out, the GOG version of the game works perfectly fine, there are no technical issues affecting the experience. And one end note - the reason I never finished it as a kid was one mission - "Sniper's Last Stand", by far the most irritating mission I've ever played.
