King's Bounty II

I tried to like the game, but more efforts are during development, apparently.

Fights ok but there is so much walking that its anoing.

The real sequel of the first King's bounty (not the king's bounty legends from katauri) , storywise , adding lore to the 90's gem . the game is fun and addictive , entertaining plot for those who crave to dive again into the world of king maximus . starting class matter , as the game enforce some of your rp choice , function if you choose the mercenary or the countess . for the battles , lots of units and skills , let you plan your victory in numerous ways . some minor flaws in the game , like the horse and the way he move , but nothing gamebreaking .

much better then the first edition of the game , but i don't know what it is about the cameras in this one makes me nauscious if i eat and play too close together . especially on the horse!

This is a very difficult game. I feel like the game is cheating even in normal mode. I felt this the most in the case of morale. There was an example where I had a 30% chance that my creature would respawn, and it never happened once in a round, while my opponent happily respawned with a much lower chance, at least twice, sometimes three times out of his 4 creatures. Of course, there is a chance of this, but I still consider it quite unlikely. The enemies are sometimes 3 levels higher than the hero, and if they are the same level; then they have such amazingly higher stats that my blood pressure jumps. You have to try each fight several times, either because you fail, or you can win at such incredible losses that your wallet is empty by the time you replace the creatures. Not to mention if the lost creature is just about to evolve. And if it dies, the collected combat experience also floats. Too bad. Anyway, the story wouldn't be bad, I'm interested in how it ends, but a little balance of power wouldn't have hurt. I'm a little sorry I spent money on it, but I'll be more careful next time.
