Lovely game. Relaxing. Fine minimalism.
I don't get the point of all the complaints about this game. Only one single crash while I played a lot. There are bugs. But nothing gamebreaking. They can be avoided by mostly simple workarounds. The story is not very interesting. I'm just going up and down the available routes and relax. A little bit of trading and maybe smuggling goods for some money. More fixing than pimping the laika to reach the next gas station. Doing things or leave them be. Most time there is solution to solve upcoming challenges. No gas, no money, broken car? You'll find some way. If not it's no problem to restart the current stage and try again. Graphics are beautifull. Soundtrack is ok (I usually don't listen to ingame music...) and sometimes funny. Altogether it creates a very special atmosphere. Did you visit southern/eastern europe with your own jalopy in the 80s/90s? You could sometimes feel like beeing transported back in time when you reach the gas stations or towns in the late night. Beeing more and more bored of most upcoming (mainstream) games I am pleasantly surprised by this game. And if you don't expect the fastest, craziest, most realistic, most complex, whatever!!1! adventure you can have a good time in and arround your laika.

Trabbie simulator, not for everyone
Where is the fun here? Quite simple, if you find Eurotruck simulator or the like boring, then this game is not for you. Otherwise, you'll do your road trip were you have memories of changing the tire of your car under the rain in Germany, and then put some gasoline in your car on the Adriatic coast, In some low poly environment. There is not much more, and that's good this way. So, what do you have in this game: - you have a road from city A to city B - you have a (crappy) car which tend to got malfunctions every 2 km - some kind of mechanic system where you change engine, batteries, ... - you have a RNG which make it hard as fuck or easy peasy - you have some goods to deals along the way - bugs, not blocking, but you will have sometimes to reset your last segment - weird music - Ostolgia With less bugs and maybe a bit more content, this could have been GOTY.

Artsy-Fartsy Driving
There are a lot of things I could say about this game, but Im just going to jump straight at what I believe may be the most helpful for deciding whether or not to buy it. Do you enjoy those artsy-fartsy walking simulators? Jalopy's rogue-light style progression system means there is much more game here than the typical walking simulator, but to me It still feels more like a playing walking simulator than a driving game. I really enjoy the walkies myself, so I really like this game. I actually think I may like it more than I usually like walkies, on account of there still being some actual gameplay here. Its just not good enough gameplay to carry the game all by itself. If you find your self in a pensive mood though, then I can very much recommend this game.
