Honestly, Hard Reset Redux is an easy game to recommend for those wanting a little more of what made Doom such a success last month. Fast-paced shooting, combined with some great visual design and a few upgrades to keep your arsenal fresh. If you’ve not played Hard Reset before, Hard Redux is well worth the price of admission.

Good fast-paced fun!

Missing some features of today's FPS games like crouching, leaning left/right. But combat is super smooth and tactical with enemies with different combat styles. Really enjoying it!

Great game, but can't be modded

I have this and the extended edition. I was deeply saddened that I couldn't get the extended edition on GOG. The redux can't be modded, and the weapons are way too weak. If you alter weapons using some very handy console commands in the extended edition, the game play is incredible. You can even disable those annoyong droplet effects too, but keep the rain. You can't do these things in the Redux version. Such a shame. You do get a cool sword to swing around, but the weapons in my opinion are just so weak that is ruins the experience in the Redux. Such a simple little thing too. Devs need to add damage sliders, it makes all the diefference! In fact, just have a console and also enable all of the options in the darn thing!

Bought on Tues, won't launch on Thursday

I bought Hard Reset Redux on Tuesday, installed it via GOG Galaxy on Windows 11 Pro. Played it for a short time on Tuesday and yesterday. Enjoyed it. But today it won't launch (via Desktop shortcut, or via GOG Galaxy), black window appears and then just goes away. Uninstalled via GOG Galaxy, and reinstalled, still won't launch. What now?
