A fair and fun progression system turns the effort of building a competitive collection of cards into pure pleasure — simply collect new cards to build decks with as you play GWENT; no strings attached.

STUNNING, ALL ACROSS THE BOARD

Beautiful, hand-drawn art and mesmerizing visual effects breathe life into every card, battle and battlefield, making GWENT fun to play and every duel a joy to watch.

SKILL BEATS LUCK

Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.

MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY

Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.

EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY

Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.

NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS

You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?

The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.

New Game - Old Feeling

Homecoming feels like a Gwent 2.0. Some people love it, some hate it (a lot of bad reviews). If you never heard of gwent or played it before --> this is a good card game. It's totally different from Magic, Hearthstone or Artifacg (RIP Swim). Play it. You won'T regret it. Pros of the update: More Decks are played. In the Old Gwent i had the feeling, after each Big update, there were only 4 or 5 decks played. Until now there a are a lot more. The Change that you can have every bronze card only two times and gold on time (no more Silver). Made the Building more intersting and the games differnet. Combined with the new mulligan, you can just pump through your single Goal card yoyu need for the win. I played a lot of different rounds with one single deck. Con: One big Con is the slow Grind (as it was in old gwent). I investet a good a mount of Money in Gwent, but better Cards are to rare in the Kegs. With the new Reward point system (which is interesting, but two slow (you need to long to unlock all heroes (if you are a beginnger))). And after 6 wins (which is a good mechnic) you only get 1 Reward point(feels not satisfying). Also the second play round has transformed into a save Mulligan round, where the loser of the first round drops his/hers badest card. ==> In the End a lovely game, with some Edges(As every Card game)

Better than Heartstone

I played the beta when it first released and loved it. But then they kept making changes and I disliked most of them. Add in that the game was getting needlessly complex and it really just needed a reset. I’m so glad it got one. I’ll take another look now and hope it has the solid fundamentals back.

Great overall experience

Don't get discouraged by the negative reviews - most of them come from players of the old beta who are pissed they have to memorise new abilities. Some frustration is understandable, but it has nothing to do with the game itself. Gwent is now more accessible and more diverse in playstyles and gameplay then before. The old paradigm of tutoring out as many cards as possible while thinning your deck close to zero just wasn't sustainable (and very counter-intuitive for new players) nor was it fun because every match played out more or less the same. Battlefield overhaul looks absolutely fantastic. The bigger cards are aestathically pleasing and the art is unmatched anyway. You can't even compare it to other card games - Gwent plays in a league of it's own in this regard. Gameplay itself is less swingy than before. Big Powerplays are more now difficult (with a few (problematic) exceptions). The rows now matter again and the "move" mechanic actually makes sense. Playing the game is very rewarding - the progress system is really fun and encouraging. The economics are fair - F2P gamers can realisticly have competitive decks for every faction. The new "Provisions" system works for both balancing and "social justice". On the negative side: 1) the game lacks cards - seriously. There arent nearly enough "bronzes" (common cards) to form some kind of "faction identity". 2) Some imbalances still remain (eg: Sihil, Witchers). Generally there aren't enough rewarding pro-active plays. Im confident the two negative points will be tackled with new patches/expansions in the foreseeable future. TL;DR: This game is worth your time - give it a try! Enjoy the unmatched art and lore. Learn the core mechanics and develop strategies to avoid big swings to your disadvantage and you'll have fun.

Very good.

Used to ccg this game is by far the best i've played. There isn't a lot of rng, and the game is pretty generous. You can build a competitve deck without spending money after about 2 weeks, playing a few hours every day. So game is really F2P but i end up spending money cause art is beautifull and i want to support the devs :)
