Frustrating but still fun.
I am one of the people that read about Gwent and dismissed it as a pay to play game. Then I saw a video of Thronebreaker and being a sucker for the Witcher games I bought it, expecting a RPG. It wasn´t really, but it introduced me to Gent and I found that I quite enjoyed it and I enjoyed the process of leveling up your camp and by doing that, increasing the upper provisioning limit. It was fun to collect cards, open chests (but what the hell is those banners for? I want cards!) By the end of thronebreaker I had a really powerful deck with some really sweet artifacts and so on. Then I installed the Gwent game and tried it. It was fun initially with a lot of rewards and cardkegs earned from playing Thronebreaker. Nice touch that. But the frustration set in. I tried to put together a deck with cards I knew from thronebreaker, but though the cards looked identical, they had totally new effects and abilities. ???? Also, the provisioning limit is locked under 170 and I have no way I know of to increase it. But worst of all is how weak all cards are. I often maaged to get my cards I played out in Thronebreaker to above 250 in power. I was very satisfying and I liked how you could see the strenght of the deck increase when you were leveling. In Gwent I have won matches with only 3 in final power in the third round. Sure, it felt good to win and outsmart the other player but I like BIG wins :) and find these weak decks simply uninteresting. Especially since all the cards looks the same as in Thronebreaker but have swapped fuctions and abilities. I know I said it before, but for me, that last detail ruined the game for me and cost the game two of it´s stars in my rating. Now I barely play it.

I want my beta back
The joke has gone on long enough CD. It's time to reveal that this was all a cruel prank and give me back the game that doesn't make me so bored I literally quit while winning and has cards that actually work in unison. Having gameplay where things could actually turn around if you played smart as opposed to "I play card you play card me have bigga numba me win" was a pretty enjoyable feature.
