FREE TO PLAY THAT’S WORTH YOUR TIME

A fair and fun progression system turns the effort of building a competitive collection of cards into pure pleasure — simply collect new cards to build decks with as you play GWENT; no strings attached.

STUNNING, ALL ACROSS THE BOARD

Beautiful, hand-drawn art and mesmerizing visual effects breathe life into every card, battle and battlefield, making GWENT fun to play and every duel a joy to watch.

SKILL BEATS LUCK

Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.

MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY

Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.

EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY

Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.

NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS

You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?

The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.

Horrible

Took a decent concept and ruined it. The game now feels like the virtual manifestation of herpes.

Best DCCG in my humble opinion

At first I couldn't believe how many negative reviews I'm reading on this review thread. But as I read through most of the negative reviews I find out that majority of them come from players who had been playing the BETA GWENT. I've never played the BETA version or any witcher series so I have nothing to compare with. But what I can tell you is that I absolutely LOVE this game. It's absolutely amazing. I'm not here to argue which version is better, I'm simply sharing my experience. I originally purchased a copy of Throne Breaker on Steam due to its overwhelmingly positive review, fell in love with the game and found out its a stand alone from GWNET Home Coming. I immediately downloaded GOG and GWENT. I even bought a second copy of Throne Breaker on GOG to earn all the rewards on GWENT. I don't mind supporting CDPR for a game well made like Throne Breaker and Home Coming with a bit of extra money. So, if you are interesting in this game and find the negative comments intimidates a bit, don't let it fool you. It's a great game! Especially if you enjoy Digital Collectible Card Game (DCCG) genre. I highly recommend this game. Again, don't get veered off from all the negative reviews as I mentioned earlier; they're mostly bitch, moans and complains on changes that made them unfamiliar to something they were very familiar to. This game even got me thinking about playing witcher series. I know, I know, you're going to say that I got it backwards but this is my experience. Anyways, you can tell I'm a huge fan and I would like to spread some positive vibe on this review thread. I truly believe this game is a master piece in its genre. Hope this review is helpful and one day GWENT Home Coming will become bigger than Hearth Stone, the king of DCCG as it proclaims. In my humble opinion, Hearth Stone does't hold a candle light against GWENT Home Coming. Last but not least, thanks CDPR for games well made. We appreciate it. Keep on thriving!!

Let down

So I went to purchase some special packs for a gwent event and even though I had the money in my GoG account it wouldn't go through. I contacted support and they said there were issues and it's to late to get the special pack and time is up for getting them. So since they had the issues I am out of the chance to order the packs I was wanting to get and have no chance in ever having it because they had technical issues. Its thrown me off from playing on PC altogether and I'll stick with playstation. It says not to post unless it's a game topic but seeing as how you cant contact CD Projekt Red and it auto connects to GOG support and they cant or wont do anything then it's on both of them and my rating will show as much. When playing the game it is overall fun with an occasion crash and its disappointing how the update changed so much from a few years ago when decks were built and a lot of cards changed but I understand them keeping it fresh and wanting the money to keep rolling in

untillev10investrealmoneyordeinstallgame

So i got this game because i wanted to get the "free" witcher 1 offer, i was a beta tester. So i decided to try it immediately out, to see how far it has gone... , better effects, the gameplay is entertaining and i played for hours until i was level 11, 12. and i dont really care ... I had my fun and literally won most games with the Nilfgarding starter deck, invested some of the things i won and got enemeies with much higher levels, still close matches despite them having much better variety and better cards than me, i startet to lose more games some most because of their better cards but still i had chances some errors of my part cost me most of the games i lost. After level 11,12 literally no chance,They had better cards gold with effects and combos i couldnt even dream of ...Next day i tried again even worst defeats.I had some combos with my cards but i can not make shit happen with nothing ... They litterally destroy my cards before i can even start to pressure them, some nasty gold cards, some nasty spells, some nasty effects, no chance .Also as a side note, when i try out a new deck i have the same level no sure if iam not seeing something but who thought that would be a good idea? Those deck are even worse than my normal Milfgard one... against same opponents ...I tried out arena, pretty hard for a beginner, played it when you sleept well and after you have played a lot ... Otherwise apocalypseThe other mode not sure the name in the moment but left of classic, well is kind of the same has classic but with more spice ...At the End i can only advice one thing: IF you want to play this game play it have fun... until you hit the pay wall (round level 10 at the moment) than you have two optiones... Deinstall it or throw money out of the window your choice... Dont invest your precious time continuous into this game if you are not willing to invest money ... You will only be frustrated, nobody benefits from that, not your family, not CDPROYEKTRED, ... NOTyou
