EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY
Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.
NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS
You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?
The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.
The first of several hours, GWENT was really exciting game. Even the starter decks, they provide many tactics and has good balance.
However, as the rank increases, the balance is gradually broken.
Because of broken balance, players tend to choose similar card and similar tactics, so I feel repeat the same battle with CPU.
If I get better cards than opponent does, the game easily tend to be the one-sided game but it is boring for me. I wanted to play the game of win or lose. It makes me be unwilling to buy new cards.
Though I feel normal mode is bad as I play, "Arena mode" is relatively provides the game of win or lose, so it is still interesting.
"Season mode" is terrible. it adds the special rule and the rule is so powerful that the games makes more boring...
For me personally best card game experienc I ever had. It's sad nonetheless, that game has changed so drastically with respect to beta in such a short period of time, but main idea is that it's getting better gradually. So one day retired from Gwent people will come back
The Homecoming update was certainly controversial and I was among those who were off put by a lot of the changes. The development team has made it very clear that they are committed to making the game as great as it can be and with the most recent patch they've started to deliver. The game is a lot more fluid and interesting, and in many ways I think it has surpassed the older Gwent. It's only up from here!
I have palyed since the closed beta and have poured many hours into the game and while the game has changed a lot i am still really enjoying the experience.
