EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY
Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.
NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS
You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?
The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.
I am not sure if it is the recent update, but the game tends to endlessly spill into the memory a bit too often for my liking. Restarting sometimes fixes the problem, sometimes does not. I would include screenshots and recordings if I could.
I've been playing on and off since the beta, and with many of my fellow testers, lamented the loss of some features while rejoicing the introduction of others. While I could say a lot about the gameplay itself and how it has proven less immersive and fun when not attached with The Witcher 3, I am leaving this low star rating today not for my grumblings about the gameplay, but this memory leak that renders the game unplayable from the get go.
By far the best economy of all ccgs on the market done by a great and passionate team. I recomend trying it at least and if you do try it, don't go on Reddit. Just don't.
Game is still young so it isn't even near its full potential and like a good Touissant vine it will only get better with time
New players should ignore hate reviews for Homecoming, old Gwent was for testing, sure it has changed a lot, but players knew that old Gwent was for testing purposes.
I still miss the old feel of playing in a tavern like ambient, the fast paced gameplay, but even if the developers don't bring these things back, I'm very proud of what Gwent is now.
A great experience for Witcher world lore lovers and a great game to play and chill. :)
