If you need a review, it's not for you

The market for this game already know it exists, and they'll be well-satisfied with the result. For everyone else, this sprawling game is a love-letter to retro western RPGS - but unlike something like Legend of Grimrock or Pillars of Eternity, which capture the limitations that defined beloved games without necessarily emulating their flaws, Grimoire mostly emulates the awkwardness of the era - complex unintuitive systems that require reference to an out-of-game manual; brutally slow pacing where basic journeys can take hours; bugs and interface problems. The fact a single person has made such a vast game is amazing; but the fact a single person should also have trouble providing basic quality assurance for it is entirely unsurprising. If you don't already know you want it, best stay away.

CRPG Adventure

Lots of skills. Lots of stats. Lots of resistances. Lots of choices in character development. Lots of everything a CRPG fan likes. First person view and muti-party CRPG? Yes please! Seeing all the new games that follow in the foot steps of Baldur's Gate and Fallout 1&2 is awesome, but we also need more new quality games like Grimoire released today that follow in the foot steps of Wizardry and Might and Magic. Back in the day of the 80's, the developers of CRPG's wanted their games to be about the adventure, not the end game or goal of the game. The adventure is what the games were about. Traveling with your characters and party, seeing them grow, seeing them die, taking part in their adventure with them. This game does exactly that. Just check out that screenshot with the unicorn. That's beautiful 90's computer CRPG graphics right there. People say this game is ugly? Not even close, lots in this game is amazingly more beautiful than anything you can find in a new AAA game. This is not a game for casual console gamers that play Dark Souls. This is game for CRPG fans.

The Blobber you need!

If you're the kinda fella that loves to have a bunch of goons marching in parade formation whackin baddies from square to square, this is the game for you! There's something magical about the extreme focus of one man's vision of how a game should be, and it well worth the buy, even if you don't like it as much.

Huge mess

This game is a horrible mess. I like dungeon crawlers and old school RPGs but this is too much. The game does nothing well. The graphics are terrible (you see the next screen when turning), designs are bland and generic. Writing is subpar (and there's a lot of it), UI is one of the worst i've ever seen in a commercial video game. The only redeeming part seems to be the amount of content in the game. Well, i'll never know. I quit playing pretty fast because of all the issues mentionned.
