I know this is a passion project but ...
... that doesn’t mean we can’t criticize it. To my bitter regret, I’ve had an overwhelmingly negative and frustrating experience with Fallout London. The mod suffers from crashes for many players, including myself. It’s not news anymore, but the mod definitely needed more time in in the cooker. The “Tutorial area” was super annoying. I spent a whopping 10 minutes in the first two rooms, going in circles because a door was hidden in shadows. I had to look online to figure out where to go. So, dear FOLON-Team, please add some light source there—whether it’s some sparks, a lamp, or something else. Later on, there’s a transition to the overworld, but it’s also plagued by crashes and urgently needs a fix. In survival mode, you can only save when you sleep. However, the first two beds you find don’t allow sleeping. This needs to be addressed as soon as possible as well. Having an initial safe haven or save point is crucial. Bethesda did this well in Fallout 4 by providing an immediate settlement where I could build a bed and save. The Fallout London team adds the first weapon (a walking stick) AFTER encountering initial enemies, which is frustrating for survival players. They do provide 9mm ammunition though... ¯\(ツ)/¯ Bethesda gave players a melee weapon before encountering enemies and shortly afterward provided a 9mm pistol . In Fallout London, I’ve died more frequently in Survival mode than in Dark Souls 2’s starting area or in Vanilla Fallout Survival mode. One frustrating death involved a wild mongrel that seemed to teleport behind me like Son Goku in VATS. After some CTD's it also messed up my Resolution and the game was surrounded by big white borders. TL;DR: Game either crashes, or gets funky with graphics resolution. If those 2 don't happen, then several ingame issues plague the experience. 1/5 stars, cannot reccomend in this state.
