We are very grateful for the amazing attention Fallout London is receiving and want to thank you all for the great feedback! We're working hard to fix the reported technical issues and expect to release an update soon. Thank you for your patience and support!
Many of the reported issues appear to stem from missing one of the installation steps outlined below. While we work on improving the installation experience, please ensure you follow all the steps carefully.
- Team FOLON®
Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Summary
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.

As someone who has been actively partaking in the project, through their Discord, it has been amazing to see the progress that's been made up to release.
They were struck down by Bethesda, but made something truly special.
FOLON Team, no matter what, you guys are fabulous.
So just play the mod, innit.
As a lot of other people have pointed out, this game crashes constantly. I've tried to use Buffout 4, which seemed to break the game completely. Also, I've fully reinstalled and it still crashes. Everything set to Low and Weapon Debris off ... and yip, it still crashes.
It's such a shame because this game looks like it could be fantastic but at the moment it's giving me Fallout New Vegas on the XBox vibes.
Show your support by downloading it now though. Otherwise there's the paradox of we can't play it because it's broken and they won't fix it, because no one's playing on it. I desperatly want this to work because it has huge potential.
I'll revisit this review in a few months, to see if I can add a better score but if a game is unplayable it doesn't deserve anything higher than 0, which GOG won't allow so it's a 1 for now.
It's very frustrating because the game is fantastic the first hour, but once you take the train outside, it's over : I get CTD after CTD with no means to play anymore.
I was waiting for this release since a lot of time, and I really hope it will be fixed because it seems some players can play with no issue at all, while others can't play at all.
It looks like a memory leak or some specific bug. I have no idea what to do. Please GOG and devs, help us being able to explore this fantastic mod !
Games basically never crash on my machine, but this one does. I bought the GOTY edition here on GOG with the London mod, and like for so many other players, it CTD's constantly after the train ride. I've managed to make it to Greenwich Station after about ten reloads, but I think I'll stop and keep calm for now, awaiting a fix.
The quality of the game seems great and I'm really enjoying myself. I have no complaints in that regard. I'm just looking forward to the day I can carry on.
I read the reviews before installing, but then managed to play through the entire prologue without getting any of the crashes that people were complaining about. It ran perfectly for the first hour until I took the train ride. Then it immediately crashed.
Reloaded the game, and took the train again, this time it didn't crash and I was able to continue. Met up with a gang, got my first proper quest and... crashed again.
I started to mess around with the game and lowered all the graphics settings to significantly less than I normally play Fallout 4 on. Crashes.
Tried a lot of different configurations, but it basically crashes no matter what I'm doing within ten minutes or less now. I had a fresh GOG install of Fallout 4 and Fallout London, no other mods.
The game seems really good. There's a lot of care, voice acting and music is pretty good, the atmosphere and world building likewise. Unfortunately, like so many total conversion mods, it's simply not stable enough to actually play the game. It's too frustrating, which is a pity, because I really do like what I've seen so far, but I'm not prepared to play in ten minute chunks and constantly lose progress.
Hopefully the team manages to fix this stuff, but I'm not holding my breath. It's free and very easy to install, so try it and maybe your random configuration of PC components won't cause the game to constantly CTD. There's a minority of people who seem to have no issues, but clearly there's a lot more who do.
Maybe I'll check back in a year or two if they stick with it. Probably not worth the hassle just yet.
