Best DK Spiritual Successor to Date
This is without a doubt the best DK spiritual successor I've played with its own spin making it more accessible for a wider market. Basically, it works as a 2 layer RTS, on one layer you manage your dungeon which you have to defend, train units, and it works pretty much like your traditional DK, and then you have a second layer that controls more like a traditional RTS where you send units to the surface for capturing points of interest that give you a resource for building more rooms, research, and units. The implementation feels very polished, and the game is very fun. My only complaint is that the humor and art style feels a bit too childish for my taste, but that's a nitpick.

Either skip, or get Complete Collection
Base game is frankly a bit barren and boring. Fun enough at first, but I found myself very quickly 'figuring it out' and then it just become a walk in the park, as the game doesn't really do anything to bring you out of your strategic comfort zone. The DLCs (especially Clash of Gods and Famous Last Words) add some more interesting mechanics, and most importantly, often throw hundreds little spanners in your usual status-quo strategy, forcing you to actually think and struggle a bit, which is a welcome change. UUUUUnfortunately, once you buy base game alone, you're left having to either buy it again in the complete collection, or buy the DLCs individually, there's no bundle with just them, and buying everything individually is twice as expensive as getting it all in CC

Dead memes and cringy writing
After Dungeons 2, I wanted more, and this was on sale. And I regret buying it. Narrator, though as talented as before, but there is limit to what you can do with bad script. Main anti-heroine is cringy as F. Just like humor. And dialogues. Constantly reminds me of a something that I would expect from a bad-stereotyped gender studies graduate. "Let's kill all, because they are making fun of me, therefore racism" is motivation of main character, seriously. Cool, evilly evil like in original Dungeon Keeper, or Overlord? Not in this game. More like 'vicious activist from Twitter' kind of 'evil'. Plus long dead memes, its game from 2017 and those memes were already long, long dead. Criiinge. But what about gameplay? It's single-player MOBA. But worse. Liked Dungeons 2, or Dungeon Keeper? Or do you like League of Legends? This game plays like bastard child of both, with mix of a uncle 'Dungeon Keeper Mobile'. Even campaign maps look like MOBA ones. Do yourself a favor, and get Dungeons 2, at least you will have some fun times. Or get League of Legend, or something like that, at least you will save yourself some money. Music is present, visuals are OK, to say it kindly. Interface sucks, and looks like something ported from a mobile game. Overall game feels like someone arrogant got too much power, went crazy and rejected all good ideas from designers, because those were not his/hers. Every small improvement from previous instance of series feels like it was there because it was there by accident. I could rag on it, but to sum it up: get yourself Dungeons 2, and assume that there was no more games in this series.

casual rts dungeon management
very casual rts with the base building replaced with dungeon management, neither side of management is very taxing, easy to get into.
