Dorfromantik is a relaxing building strategy and puzzle game in which you place tiles to create ever-growing, idyllic village landscapes. With Dorfromantik, you can immerse yourself in a quiet, peaceful world at any time and take a break from everyday life. At the same time, Dorfromantik offers a challenge for those who are looking for one: To beat the highscore, you need to carefully plan and strategically place your tiles.
In Dorfromantik you start with a stack of procedurally generated tiles. One after the other, you draw the top tile of the stack, place it on one available slot and rotate for the best fit. Thereby groups and combinations of landscapes are formed, such as forests, villages or water bodies, and you are rewarded with points depending on how well the tile fits.
On some tiles you will also encounter special objects that give you a quest: For example, the windmill wants to border 6 grain fields, the locomotive wants to be connected to 10 tracks or the deer wants to inhabit a forest with at least 50 trees. Fulfill these quests to get more tiles to continue the expansion of your landscape. The game ends when the tile stack is used up.
As you expand the landscape, you can advance into new, colorful biomes and discover pre-placed game objects that give you long-term tasks. Through these tasks you can unlock new tiles, new biomes and new quests.

A little relaxing beautiful game, its cute, its calm, and most importantly it sooth your nerves.
You place your tiles trying to make combos, that would allow you to continue to build your landscape.
I just wish there was a mode where you can just look at your land, without ui, a camera mode if you want because the organic construction of each game makes the grand view charming. So yeah a camera mode would allow us to take souvenirs of your creation.
For the price, its a deal! I think this is going to be my new goto stress relief game.
A very nice and rather addictive game.
Plays very well despite being in development.
It is easy to rush through the tutorial and miss some of the essentials of the game (how to collect points to refill your tile stock). I have seen some youtubers playing it without getting the point for quite a while.
Also, I would love an option to take back a placement. It happend several times that I placed a tile accidentally.
This is one of the very few games, which I instantly loved after I had started the demo-version. The concept; use random puzzle-pieces to create something connected and wonderful, adding the relaxing music: It became an obsession. Pure bliss. Its not about the score ... well, not "only" about the score. It feels like creating a little paradise for oneself. Highly recommended, especially for people, who dream and have a little "obsession" about neatness.
Peaceful and pleasant, yet challenging if you want it to be, Dorfromantic hits the mark for tile placement
I have just two requests for the developers:
1. Undo button. I know this has been requested before, but seriously it's essential for a solo play game like this, especially if it's just one click to place the tile.
2. Change the "game over" message and sound to be more pleasant. You built this entire experience to be relaxing and carefree, and then you have a depressing dong and "game over" like an old arcade. Get rid of this, just play a light chime sound and go to the score screen, no "game over message" required.
otherwise, it's a nice little experience and well worth the price.
Really fun and enjoyable I must say. Found myself fiddling with it after work as it's perfect to cooldown. Nice graphics, love the details in the textures, the soundtrack it's simple and very well made. Maybe the tiles could gain a little more of variations.
