Don't Starve

Having been a gamer since the medium's inception, I'm always looking out for things that push what can be done or do those things that have already been done in such style that you cannot help but drop your jaw. Don't Starve is simply one of the most creatively put together and fun gaming experiences I've had, ever. The 2.5D graphics are beautiful, funny, clever. The engine is very clean. The gameplay is balanced, and once you hit the right part of the slope on the learning curve, it's a blast. Just take a glance at the wiki that has been built up for a taste of what's going on. The word "addictive" doesn't do it justice. It does come up for sale from time to time, along with the ROG DLC. Wait for that and snap them up and start picking flowers and chopping down trees - and stay sane...!

There is a lot to explore in the game. I like you can customize a lot of the world you want to load in, and variety of characters you can play, and the stuff you can do. Technically there is no goal (unless going for adventure), so you can design your own gameplay, really. The art style is also an interesting quirky and dark, which is pretty cool Also hours and hours of replayability. Thumbs up.

First night, you die. First wolves, you die. First starving urge, you die. First buffalow encounter, you die. First swamp encounter.... you die. And now winter is coming, Wilson Snow...

This game is the silent assassin. I had my doubts about it If you are a fan of sims,like survival games,have a love for Tim Burton ish graphics,great humor, and detailed gameplay mechanics then look no further. This game has a lot going for it .It needs some tweaking here and there but is very fun regardless. The developer is adding tons of stuff (promised 6months post release updates),listens to feedback,and the game has a good deal of content in it.Comes with a sandbox mode and adventure mode.Game is also mod friendly. Still not convinced? Goto the devs website and try out the demo or watch some lets plays. I give it a 4 out of 5 only because it still needs balancing/tweaking and some more content (mobs mostly) to make it a tough survival experience.All in all lots of fun I have 167hrs clocked in so far (got it Nov 2012) pre-order beta from their site.

The game needs more depth, but since the designers are still adding stuff now and then, it will probably be quite full with stuff to do, to get or to defend against. The drawings makes the graphics less common and more interesting than the usual games that concentrate more on those than the actual game. Thumbs up! Buy this if you like Terraria or Minecraft.
