Destroy All Humans!

Destroy all humans did something really different during the PS2 era and was a one of a kind game. The remaster is faithful and despite all the hype the curd humor isn't even modern day south park standards in terms of shock. I honestly find it funny that the remaster team thought a gruff sound Christopher walker character and some fart jokes would be to far out there for the 2020's. So far out there they put a warning label at the beginning of the game. Now outside of the anal prop there isn't anything to shocking in the game and the humor is more of a love letter to Dr. Stranglove and makes fun of 1950's anti-communist hysteria. The gameplay is great once you get a handle of it and extremely satisfying, the story is a bit lacking but it's more about setting the stage. Which is why you should by this game because I promise if you haven't played DAH2 and enjoy this. You will want too and buy this will show the demand for the sequel . Which takes this unique concept and gameplay to the next level. Even without the promise of the sequel the game is still very fun and if you have nostalgia for it, it is well worth the price.

If you like Destroying Humans, you can't miss this one. For all it's shortcomings, and the cartoon graphics only add to the humor, it's a great, enjoyable and replayable game. (KGB included) Cheese it with the bosses and you'll glide by without thinking. And if you don't, there can always be a Crypto-139.

tl;dr :: If the next game is a remake, I won't be buying it Though a few of the jokes haven't aged well, the political caricature it paints is timeless. A good game with decent game play. I have 12hrs on it and definitely recommend. A better player could probably 100% it in less time. I'd be more interested in a reboot, with their own take on level and game design. Remaking the games imposes a pretty high limitation on these things. This is an IP they could really stretch around in and have some fun. I hope they don't continue to limit themselves like this in the future.

I liked the art style and it looked kind of funny. The moment I started playing I was annoyed by the controls. It just feels incredibly weird to do anything.

It's a great game, but for some weird reason it feels a lot different and darker (occasionally vicious "humor") than my first game in this series, Path of the Furon on Xbox 360. Don't get me wrong, I like it a lot, but I am guessing the stories got lighter as the series progressed. This game is a remake of the first game in the series, Path of the Furon was the fourth by release date IRL. I found out the hard way that if you are expecting certain weapons (Venus Human Trap), items, skills, etc., you MUST make certain of which game you played. I didn't realize there was a whole series, so it was quite a surprise at first ("Wait a second, that didn't happen in the game I played...") I do hope they eventually make an actual new game instead of remakes, with actual open world gameplay (not just large-but-individual levels) and ALL the weapons (with a bunch more!) Here's looking forward to the Burrow Beast in the Destroy All Humans 2 remake coming in 2022!
