Description
One fateful night, Rufus awakes from a haunting nightmare: he sacrificed himself to save Deponia. But at what price? Elysium, the floating city crash-landed on the planet. As the last surviving Deponian, he fought savage fewlocks, but in the end, there was only one way out: He had to blow up Deponia! And... He grew a mustache.

Of course he realized that these gruesome events - especially the mustache part - had to be prevented from ever happening. Deponia and his well-shaved face had to survive!

But was this really just a dream? With the help of McChronicle, a quirky temporal scientist, who discovered strange time-anomalies, Rufus discovers that some time travelers from the future carelessly parked their time machine in his neighborhood. Just imagine if this amazing technology would fall into the wrong hands!

Dive right into this frantic sequel of the Deponia cult-trilogy and join the chaotic anti-hero Rufus on his most peculiar adventure. Even without knowing the previous installment, the hilarity of Deponia Doomsday will have you cracking smiles and burst with laughter.

Get enthralled by the bizarre humor and the uniquely designed world and enjoy the largest and longest Deponia adventure of all time.

A good game, but with heavy glitches!

Shortly after I had started the first part years ago, I fell in love with the game: the setting, the graphics, the characters, the humour. It all attracted me very, very much! So I really wanted to play this part, of course. And boy, was I looking forward to it! But soon there was a bit of disillusion because of the time critical riddles, which became absolute fun killers! It is ok if you need to hurry in some situations and you don't loose any progress you made so far when the clock reaches zero. You just go back, hit the button again and try again. But there are a few situations in which they exaggerated this kind of game play a lot. Without making a spoiler here, take the chase on the habitation zone, for example: there is so much to explore, there are so many elements you have to combine, there are so many ideas you have to let in your brain in order to accomplish this scene that it's very hard to complete all of this before time is up. Because in this scene, you loose your progress completely when time is over and you have to do it all over again from scratch! This was very frustrating! Another thing I totally disliked are the scenes where you need to do some rapid clicking on the mouse in order to simulate strength and achieve progress. After all, this game is meant to be an adventure game, not a arcade game from the 80s, where you need to apply rapid fire on the enemies' space ships in order to survive. And then there's the ending... It's ok if the creators don't want to go for another Deponia game, but did it really have to end like this? This is like a stab in the back after you feel happy to have made it. I don't know who came up with these ideas at Deadalic, but I am sure there would have been better solutions. That's why I can only vote for 3 out of 5 stars.

Good but a bit tiring

I loved the previous three Deponia games. I liked the fourth one too, except that halfway through I had enough and I was just hoping to get to the end quickly. Towards the end the pace accelerated and I was playing casually not caring about all the story complexities that were emerging. Maybe I was not intelligent enough to follow, maybe it was happening too fast to follow, maybe it was not interesting enough to follow or maybe this complexity was mere randomness in disguise. In any case you could still play the game without knowing what you are actually doing. Not very flattering comment for an adventure game, but then again the deponia series has given me enough chuckles - I'd still play a 5th installment :)

Don't buy it

This game exist only, as a middle finger to Deponia fans who wanted a better ending to Deponia 3. Its basically the authors insulting everyone, who hoped for a REAL 4th Deponia game, that continues Rufus's story. And the puzzles get even worse, than they were in 3.

A nice game

I played this one a few years ago and i was shocked that there were so much bad reviews about the game. So i decided to also write some one. First of allIn my opinion this one is the best one of the Deponia games. i can't remember all of the puzzles in the game, but what i can clearly remember is that i felt positive feelings almost throughout the game and rarely felt frustrated by any puzzles. The humor in this Deponia installment was different from previous ones... childish, sometimes fanciful, but never out of place. As for the story, it took me two playthroughs to really get the hang of it, but it was worth it. I can understand that some people see the 4th part only as a kind of compensation for the ending of the 3rd part, but at least now you know where you are (I don't want to elaborate on that for spoiler reasons). In addition, I also think that the story contributes its part to the depth of the Deponia universe and thus also has its right to exist. I know it all sounds a lot like honey bread grating, but these are my personal impressions of my gaming experience.

Disappointing

As a huge fan of Deadalic and its games, I have to say that this one is a big disappointment. I had to play with the walkthrough guide to figure out what I had to do next. it is too complicated and at some point, I've just given up. sometimes simple riddles are all you want for this kind of games. I hope Ruphas got his good happy ending..
