Rufus is not a pleasant guy. Ill-tempered and entirely too convinced of his own greatness, he lives at the edge of a small settlement somewhere in the most remote sector of the garbage-covered planet Deponia. He dreams of a better life in the floating cities of wealth and beauty high above the planet surface. When the angelic Goal falls from these privileged spheres down into a neighboring trash heap, Rufus sees his chance. He decides to bring the unconscious beauty back to her home. Only a vague hope of making it off Deponia at first, he soon formulates an unscrupulous plan, as he learns that he is a dead ringer for Goal’s upper-class husband. The planned handover is only the beginning of a wild chase across Deponia full of twists, turns and mystifying mix-ups.

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
I quite liked this, and I think it was my gateway drug into point-n-clicks.
Importantly, there is a *free Demo* of it (on Steam at least).
I tried it, I liked it, I bought it... on Steam...
My rating is for complete trilogy as I consider it as a single unit divided into three parts just to get more money.
I finished the series (all three parts) and I can say only that my feelings was worse and worse during the play. I finished it only to have it behind me and I will never back to this cycle.
1. Gfx is OK
2. Puzzles - partially OK but some of them are just stupid
3. Main character - jerk who I disliked more and more during the game
4. Plot - in general good potential, but lot of drawbacks spoils it
5. The end of the whole story - just screwed.
the story is interesting even if it feels like you have received only a small part of the game...
the 'anti-hero' character applies completely here, the main character is a complete and utter self-centered, egotistical, annoying shithead...
(an atypical SJW that thinks the world owes them everything because they simply exist/live)
whereas most new games that are made in this style are complete garbage and are not funny in the least, this game makes the main character interesting and makes fun of him for his 'only i, and what i want, matter' SJW sense of entitlement etc. and at the same times makes the puzzles interesting and has a decent storyline/arch to go along with it...
while all of the rest of the game has that going for it, there are a couple of drawbacks/downsides to the game as a whole...
- lack of information in regards to environment and anything that you look at
- characters are mostly fleshed out but most feel flat and uninteresting (what the F is up with the receptionist dude?)
- too many throwaway items/objects that stay in your inventory for some reason, why not have the main character toss them or destroy them in a fun/weird way (after all he is a bit of a clutz and butterfingers)
- fuzzy/stretched images whether its background or characters (usually too close to the 'camera' in this case)
- main character does not have any growth/development really even at the end of the game when he does seem to realize one thing
Pros. Overall good adventure game (Monkey Island 3 style), humour, art etc. And I like humour even more because it is "offensive" and "triggering" to some s*flakes who should not play games anyway if they look for "offensive" content.
Cons. Ripoff. If you don't want to spoil your experience and buy game blindly, you will be disappointed. You expect full game but you get just part one of more to come episodes.
