Description
In this remarkable kingdom simulator, your goal is to become Emperor by building and expanding your stronghold in competition against opposing computer-controlled kingdoms. Choose three courses of action to achieve Emperor status: Lawful (Maximizing the prosperity and morale of your poulace; Chaotic (total military victory over all your enemies); or Neutral (striving to achieve both objectives, the toughest challenge of all).
All the details of running a kingdom must be dealt with: Construction, farmland, population, housing, troops, morale and changing seasons - and, of course, a multitude of D&D game monsters. Micro-manage all these factors personally if you want absolute control, or let the computer do much of it for you. Choose from pre-created worlds or computer-generated random scenarios for a new challenge every time. With the intuitive mouse-driven command interface, running your own kingdom has never been more fun, fast or easy!

Great game
A great game, but I find it frustrating that when playing on custom maps with high int monsters, my units just disapear for no reason leaving buildings to decay randomly. Food and housing not an issue, nor threats. Just random and annoying to manage.

Game made before Autosave....
Played about 3.5 hours, was getting a large army going... about to start attacking enemies. Game crashed - loaded it back up to realize there's no auto save. You have been warned. Great old game though.

Vital documentation missing
In the original box there was a card that described the buildings each character could construct. Without this, it's nearly impossible to build a balanced economy.

An old favorite
This is one of my favorite games of the era. I'll always love the animations, even the simple things like the little builders. I also love that buildings/improvements shrink gradually into the distance when you move farther away. It's a truly good old game!
