Dagon: by H. P. Lovecraft

The game is inspired by one of the first tales by H.P. Lovecraft: Dagon. Before starting the game, I reached for my old copy of his works to re-read Dagon and embark into the game with a fresh memory of the tale. The game is exactly the 3D version of the world created there, and it takes the same time as one would take to read it. It's an interactive novel which you play only with the mouse, clicking your way through the scenes. There is a focus mechanic that enables you to reach for clues about the author himself, and discover a little more about his personal life. The story is fully narrated accompanied with good sound effects. Totally recommed for any Lovecraft fan here.

Kept true to what I remember of Dagon years ago, and the Trivia finding was fun, although I struggled on the last ~4 of them and had to go through the game very slow to locate. Overall very fun, great graphics and a good Lovecraft experience!

The VA was perfect, the plot was neat to include real life details and story-motivated details. Scenary was fun, creepy, typical of Lovecraft horror! I quite enjoyed this little playthrough, and would definitly play it again to find anything I missed the first time!

Very true to the feel of a Lovecraft story in terms of atmospher and pacing. I especially loved the trivia. This isn't jump-scary, so if that's what you're into I'd turn away. But if you are a fan of Lovecraft, this is for you.

Dagaon is essentially a interactive video game adaptation of HP Lovecraft's story and it does a good job of capturing the atmosphere of the story.
