Dagon is a 3D narrative experience in madness based on the cult short story of the same title by the master of cosmic horror and weird fiction, H. P. Lovecraft himself. Cool Proof of Concept

This is really like a demo more than anything. The plot is basically a 1:1 recreation of Dagon, but that's okay. At least it isn't Shadow Over Innsmouth for the 1,000th time. It's a walking simulator without walking! There are little bits of trivia about Lovecraft's personal life and the history as a whole which are really, really interesting. It's a unique and informative addition to these games. Can't speak for the quality of the DLC, but this demo was a success: I will be buying them.

Exposes Lovecraft

This is a great game for anyone who thinks HP Lovecraft was clever. He wasn't. This game exposes the many issues with his intelligence that aren't necessary obvious due to his annoying writing style. He thought he was writing horror but it's actually more like comedy! The game is well made and really the devs deserved better source material to work from.

A very good Lovecraft visual novel

As many wrote before me, this is a short visual novel / audio book / interactive movie, that can be completed within a hour. There is not much to do, except following the story and that's alright in my book. With excellent narration, visuals and atmosphere, I believe that the developers made this as a labor of love and it shows. As a Lovecraft fan, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Faithful adaptation of the short story

New to Lovecraft's writings, I read those about Cthulhu and Dagon a few months ago and found that this short, narrated visual novel was a fine realisation of those pages brought to life. A work of art, free to enjoy, for those interested in a century-old classic terror story.

Beautifully crafted visual story

Literally took me half an hour. This is essentially an illustrated audiobook, It's quite nicely done, with lovely 3D graphics. A narrator reads the short story Dagon and you click along after each short excerpt, with bonus trivia scattered around to discover. Would I play a full length "game" like this - no way! But a Lovecraftian short story? Quite diverting! If you've got half an hour to kill, it's well worth a quick look.
