Close but no cigar

TL;DR at bottom. Most of the people compare this game to GTA V or Witcher 3 in their reviews and I believe this is a flawed method. ------In my opinion this game is closer to Sleeping Dogs. Both are open world lite RPG games with more emphasis on story and portrayal of the world. The world of Sleeping Dogs and Cyberpunk feel static compared to the detailed and dynamic world of GTA V or the open and living world of Witcher 3. ----Sleeping Dogs has a really nice melee system with a subpar gunplay. Cyberpunk is the opposite off that. --Sleeping Dogs did not have any character customization but ability to buy more homes. Cyberpunk has some limited character customization but no option to buy more homes. Both have no vehicle customization like GTA V has. -Nothing that comes even close to GWENT or many of the filler activities you can do in GTA V. -+ Being locked into first person view can be annoying and feel clunky from time to time. +++++++The immersion in the Cyberpunk theme is done very well with various design elements such as music, clothing, night city itself, etc. +++++Nice implementation of cyber warfare and implants into the gameplay. ++++Crafting and skill tree system is really nice. ++Some of the concepts like Brain dances are nice but not used enough times in the game. Story wise the game seems to be as good as Witcher 3 so far. I believe if they could add some of the content that was supposedly cut and make some gameplay additions in possible expansions / DLC in future the game can be at a much better place. In summary, good attempt by the company but so many missed opportunities. This game is a really nice bottle of wine that you can enjoy for a nice meal but not a vintage wine like how Witcher 3 was. This may change depending on future DLC but it will be an uphill struggle as it stands. TL;DR : Good game worth the money but not the revolutionary game that was expected from CDPR.

Story is amazing

I feel for the people who can’t properly play Cyberpunk, but it is worth it. 100%. Story is on par if not better than the Witcher 3, I just finished the game and the ending I got made me feel like I was f***ed over and cheated. Which is what I deserved for picking the specific choice. Already starting to re-load to go through the different endings and I definitely plan on doing a full replay with another start in the future.

Development overstrained

This game was highly anticipated by many. In its current state it is a disappointment at almost any aspect. And if glitches are fixed at some point - the game itself looks like it is a development snapshot and needs much more time to be finished than will be available to a released game. It is even more of a disappointment when you see the big initial scale and interesting plot spoiled by implementation and poor balance. Was going to give 2 stars after 20 hours of gameplay, but when today I reached Oda boss, who kills you literally in 2 moves, it was the last straw. Why give the mission which is impossible to finish on the known player level (lvl is 18, armor available on the level is 30, the mission was indicated as medium difficulty)? The game is nothing you can enjoy at the moment, it is much more of a pain to go through (I even got used to music switched off while in a car or on a bike). None of the proposed mechanics seem to be new and bring sometimes slight and sometimes heavy dejavu. This adds to poor implementation and imbalance. Pros: a big world, nice distinct "biomes", interesting plot, good looking picture and characters. Cons: "plastic"/"woody" unalive world, awful music and translation, vehicle mechanics broken, arcade'ish battle but overburdened inventory (including poorly presented tons of weapon differences and crafting system), where is RPG?. It is a pity to write this negative comment, but it seems by many signs the game could become solid and definitely interesting if the developers were not pushed hard by the release date. or maybe the game world was too big for the given team and deadline. Now, after such a release, it is very hard to believe this game could actually become any better.

Not THE masterpiece but GREAT

I think many of the criticism towards the game is legit. I was myself pretty hyped up by some of the features mentioned since 2018 that ain't in the final product or are really far away from what they were supposed to be. But considering the final product (and at least I didn't experienced many bugs and glitches) as it is, I'm loving it. I love The Witcher 3 as my favourite game ever and here I believe they wanted to go way far beyond what they did back in 2015, tho fell short and ended being a Witcherpunk: in terms of gameplay features feels like I'm playing Witcher 3 but in a Blade Runnery setting, wich is absolutely fantastic, but we were expeting more. Graphics are incredible, the sound desing is unbelievable and story, characters and side jobs are generally great (except for the more random NCPD stuff with almost no background). I was really worried they couldn't make a great story and characters after Witcher series, wich had really well pre-developed (in the books) characters and character arcs. But my oh my, I'm delightful to be wrong. Night City feels so believable and alive even if we are missing HUGE features that were talked by CDPR. I've never ever stopped so much in a game and just walk, look and exprience the world. Cause it feels like that, an experience. I'm not just looking thinking "wow, that looks great", and I'm getting absolutely overwhelmed by the entire package of graphics, desing, citizens, cars and sound desing. I know it's not perfect, I know it's missing huge things (like the very lackluster IA and ¿nonexistence driving IA?) but to me is already a five stars in my heart. Hope CDPR can save the day and with time and learning from their mistakes, make it more like the game they showed us during this time and, probably, they actually wanted to make.

this is not what we were promised.

Ow my god where do i even begin.. Ow my god this game is bad, is this CDPR? I mean it looks pretty yeah that's cool but, missing stuff like basic open world things like barbers, car costuming, police chases, more character customizing (tatoos etc) and many other things. And the shooting sucks. . And the game is very easy These health inhalers are everywhere its like UNLIMITED HEALTH!! (palpatine shooting guys) And don't get met started about the AI. OMG this is ridiculous like we were promised this dystopia world where everyone is armed and dangours… But when you start shooting people start panicking and crawling and yelling for there no purpose AI life. Don't buy Yet! Wait for the patches wait for 2077 whatever you want. But don't buy this game yet.... I feel bad for CDPR but I'm sorry i cant give this game a positive review.. A pretty looking game doesn't make it a good game.
