I'm thrilled with the game, despite bugs

Intel core i3-8100 @3.6, 16 gb ram, very old EVGA geforce gtx 960. I get 30-45 fps, but a few dips to 15 I was blown away when I got to Night City. I love the environments, day/night cycles, the hustle and bustle of the city, the way the NPC's do a great job at background chatter and the illusion of cyberpunks city-world. It's the most amazing city, building, and npc experience I've had in a game to date. I love exploring the buildings, and have never seen so much attention to detail to every place you step into. It's fun to stop and sight-see. I'm also continually amazed at the seamless way random encounters are integrated into broken down side-roads, litle turnouts on the streets, adjacent buildings, shanty towns, gang terf, etc. And the quest system has been fluid and flawless so far. I'm enjoying the stat and level up system, as well as the way talents are chosen, and I think different specs on different playthroughs will be quite different. I like that your skills associated with stats level up as you use them independent of your talent choices. This means so far every weapon I come across is usable to me if I want. The stealth system has been fun, takedowns, options for lethal or non-lethal, and body hiding are all robust. Vast array of clothing, looks, colors, loot, cars to drive and buy. The car system is basically like playing GTA. Now the Bad. Most have been harmless or funny, so I guess I'm a lucky one. Absolutely horrible cop system(early GTA.) # and type instaspawn behind you based on # stars, always shoot to kill, very easy to accidentally trigger. Had a cop literally jump into the street in front of me. 1 CtD after 3 days play memory leak after long play lots of minor bugs prevent junk component pickup mobs glitch through walls sometimes cars sunk sometimes need controller for car (though button hints swap flawlessly between console/pc) needs gun balance(shottys meh so far, mob hp bal assumes headshots) netrunners hack you through walls

Great game on PC, minus a few bugs

I'm almost 39 hours into the game. The world and the NPCs are fantastically well-realized, it looks beautiful even without the latest and greatest ray-tracing 30xx GPU, and the story honestly gets better and better the further you go (both the main questline, and several major side quests). On top of that, CDPR have done an impressive job at making the game approachable for any play style. I'm a stealthy netrunner who almost never draws a weapon. But a rampaging cybered-up brawler, or gun-master - all would be equally viable. I'm truly having a great time playing so far, and I look forward to seeing how it all unfolds. Meanwhile, much has been made of the bugs. Personally, I've experienced a few, but nothing that was really game-breaking. In the time I've played so far, I've had 2 honest to goodness crashes-to-desktop, which were annoying but never lost me more than 5 minutes of play. I've encountered one mission bug, which forced me into a fight with someone who I should have been able to talk to - that was frustrating, but from what I can tell online, not common. And I've seen a handful of weird graphics glitches - one NPCs gun clipping through his head during a conversation, another sitting on the hood of his car only to suddenly teleport 3 feet to the right so he could sit on thin air, for example. Maybe a few others like that. All temporary and gone in a minute or so. Beyond that, the key remapping issue is really the most significant issue I've come across. I play with a trackball that does not have a middle mouse button. I can remap that button for most purposes, but not in inventory screens. Which means if I equip a piece of clothing, I can only replace it, I can't simply unequip it (if, for example, I just want to see how I look). Other folks have much worse issues with key bindings. Because of this issue, I'm deducting a star. Even so, I highly recommend this game.

Disappointed and feeling empty...

Is this the game I pre-ordered similar to that of CDPR advertised? Absolutely NO! Huge ton of immersiveness and features missing on top of the buggy gameplay and controls cannot be fully remapped... Too many things to complain but too tired to complain... Other than that, Night City visual design is truly amazing thumbs up to the team in charge with the Night City design and map paths.. It's a well designed and packed map wasted on a lifeless game.

Unrealistic expectations

Very good RPG over all. Good characters, very good dialogue. Aside from Disco Elysium this is the only other RPG where I don't hate having a pre-determined character. Good amount of choice including secret choices that you can discover by just playing the game intuitively and watching it respond. Biggest downside is I wish they included companions, seems wasteful to have such good characters then only see them during quests. But honestly the AI is so terrible they probably wouldn't work. The game's way around bad AI is to just teleport NPCs during races, when you get police wanted level etc. But that really is the only major downside for me. Aside from the odd graphical bug I didn't have a bad experience performance-wise on an RTX2060, Ryzen 5 2600.

DON'T FALL FOR THE HYPE

Was expecting innovation, got yesteryears confining lacklaster. Should be simple making automonous/assisted driving vehicles available to player considering game developers have been programming them FOR DECADES, can't shoot from vehical unless a passanger in a few parts, should be able to stand dance on top of your vehicle, you can sit in the back seat while reading a book IRL in a Tesla. Why can't wield one handed weapon on motorbike? 2 handed weapons on a motorbike? duel wield smart SMGs on motor bike? Racing? racing? you mean that that ONE side quest? here r ur futurisitc vehical controls, gas brake honk. Groundbreaking, breathtaking Should spend less budget on wholesome Keanu reeves big chungus, ads. more on hiring able developers. Congrats tho, got this sucker's money already. another reminder NEVER PREORDER, wait for reviews wait for patches, you'll get a much better experiance. If I had a phycial copy i'd probably return it. pc masterrace amirite? Too much "Full body" lattes, not enough electrolytes. Real Water® did make me chuckle though mericans give pets SSRIs, dress em up Where's thug with cyberhanced pitbull? Let me guess "da virus make no animals" convient. Only moment really I was pleasntly suprised was the charge attack katana decapitation. thought passanger to driver seat change animation was a neatn example of immersion continuity i'd see throughout the game, now it just seems annoying. decisions felt more fallout 4 than new vegas. gential customization, ebic, Any point/use? no. funny little add on, when body types are typical ugly western generic style, binary man 1 woman 1 an acutal innovative game would of had a gender slider. Need voiced Shards, MGSV did it. Tying skip dialouge to crouch was stupid. Why can't wallrun? why charge jump attack animation same as regular charge attack? Why can't slide down ladder? Why can't shoot from ladder? Why cigs an no vapes. should be able to shoot while using a MaxDoc or Bounce Back, COD does it.
