Promising title
Game is pretty, well written, immersive. But amount of bugs is crazy high - frozen doors that block quests, buttons not working, pedestrians disappearing. I expected better quality. And the same mistake as they did with Witcher 3 - ported from console. Car steering is horrible, shooting/aiming is tough on mouse/keyboard. 6/10 until fixed.

Great game, similar to W3 launch. 8.5/10
The game is great, just as the Witcher 3 was/is. But! Just like the Witcher 3 at launch it is bug filled. I would imagine maybe back in 2014-2016 they could have gotten away with it. But I feel consumers are more strict nowadays and rightfully so when it comes to bugs. Audio desync, animation and physics problems, clipping, and a crash about 10hrs in so far. Reminds me of my first time playing the Witcher 3, which was a struggle when it first released too. That said, It's a fantastic RPG thus far with great characters and a compelling story. The combat is fun with lots of variety. Driving is better than most open world games (Watch Dogs, Far Cry, GTA4, JC3) But worse than GTAV. Night city is breathtaking. It's easily the most detailed city in a game ever. Even the tiniest and out of the way areas are detailed. My only complaints so far is that I wish there was more interactaviness with people on the streets, stalls, vendors, etc. Being able to buy junk from random stalls, sit down and buy sushi or a burger and watch TV at a restraunt or stall, or play pool, cards, darts etc. So essentially just a slew of random minigames like that would really add to the immersion. Music, guns, voices, ambiance, are all stellar. However the vehicle sound effects are hit and miss right now. Sometimes it glitches out or the engines and tires just sound off. But again its hit and miss. Some cars sound fantastic, some not so much. Honestly I wish I could give this a 4.25/5 on here, I would say its a 8.5 (-1 for bugs, -0.5 for not having enough minigames, and random activities). Whether it lives up to the hype is entirely up to how much you allowed yourself to be hyped. I was expecting a 9/10 game and I got an 8.5 (as of now). So I am happy. If you were expecting a 11/10 futuristic Sims 4, GTA, Fallout, Deus EX mashup (idk why you were) that would make all games obsolete. Then of course you will be disappointed. The Witcher 3 would have dissappointed you with that mentality.

Good Game, not a 90 from 100 (Part 1)
So, where do I start? I think I'll start with the positive thinks. The game world is really pretty and varied, the look, the feel, it all immerses you into the world. I don't know how they pulled this off, but at the right moment, at the right time, the game can become an emotional rollercoaster. Excitement, happiness, sadness, A creeping feel of discomfort, there is a wide variety of them to experience. The gameplay is really fun, but only for those who like to follow content or like to explore. Only downside is, there are no real minigames, opportunities of carnage or whatsoever, stuff you can do besides the actual side content to interact with the world. Now come the bad things, the things I think are sometimes overseen. Some small, some bigger. Despite the character creator giving you many options, it can feel really restrictive in some smaller aspects. Piercings for example can't be picked single handend and always have a preset, the same goes for tattoos. The controlls on PC feel sometimes overcluttered. You can crouch with C but also skip dialogue with it, which feels very weird. This can cause you to accidently skip dialogue from time to time, if you are a sneaky type. The story feels like it had to many rewrites at some point and sometimes feels restrictive. Like the game itself says, it doesn't matter where you come from, doesn't matter where you start. Except the misc dialogue, the main dialogue feels like it's missing weight, because there are not too many options sometimes. The ending of the story can feel very inconclusive and dissatisfying, as the beginning choice of your lifepath doesn't have to much weigh here. Like CDPR said, the real star of the story are the relationships and bonds you form and I thinks that'S the main strenght of the game, when it comes to storytelling. The many different endings they were telling us about are essentially only three. Only difference is, where your character will end up, but not how it ends overall.
