The game is just not ready. While the story is great much of it does feel like it is on rails (choices doesn't matter). There's the bug and the glitches that just kills any enjoyment.
And then of course there is also the deceit and lies of CDPR. They had so much goodwill but decided to throw it away. They deserve every backlash and hate they are getting (dont make deaththreats).
I honestly believe that someone at CDPR should thrown in jail. The level of deceit and lies is disgusting.
Even if they fix the game, never will I ever again trust anything they say or show. This game developer is now being treated the same as EA and Activision.
I've had more than 100h of fun and still counting, even though I have seen bugs that would put off the average gamer quite quickly.
The story is okay, the options you get to speak with NPCs in every quest are underwhelming to say the least. I expected a lot more though. Such as a questline that belongs to Max-Tac. As I watched the very first Teaser 7 years ago, I was very curious what I will be able to do in that szenario. (SPOILER: You can find the girl from the teaser in the game as a Max-Tac Officer.)
The combat seems to have an issue with inconsistency, such as; When I did my Hard Mode playthrough (On my way to start Very Hard soon!) the enemies sometimes kill me in one shot, and somtimes it takes them 3-4 hits until I am down. I am not sure what is happening there, so take that with a grain of salt.
As my hardware is Med-End today (1070 stuffs and i7 somethings) the performance holds itself so-so. Had to deploy couple changes, watch guides and use a 3rd party tool to set some other background parameters I don't even know about. But at least I got some FPS I can work with.
The controls have been quite...let's say nerve-wrecking experience sometimes. There are situations where I wish the control scheme would be different. But the key mapping is quite limited in what it can do in what the game uses. You can fiddle around with the config files deep inside the games directory, but doing that can only get you so far. Example is: I wanted to only have 1-3 to pull each and every gun out I want. and have Alt as the sole button to put the gun away. (I couldn't care less about the ingame gun wheel and mouse wheel.)
In conclusion: The game is well on its way to become a really good game. Only time will tell, and before that happens, I wouldn't recommend buying it YET! Be sure to check youtube videos whenever somebody claims "This new Patch has made CP a blast!!" and so on.
This game was sold on a fake trailer. I repeat if you're intrested in this game based on any footage or information that was out before 2020 dec 10 don't buy it. Make sure you want this game based on thing known when the game came out becase almost nothing from the trailers is still there.
This game is an unplayable buggy mess at worst and a horrible unimmersive experience at best. The game is barebones despite the look of it. Missing content and absolute lack of choice besides the final mission really hurts this game.
Besides the missing content and glitches this game still fails. Lack of anything meaningful to do in this game besides some side missions and the linear main story. Played it for 80 hours and barley enjoyed my time with it.
For what the game is it's an 3 out of 5 for me but add the context (because context is very important) and this falls to a 1. This game was sold on lies and in a better world what CDred did would be illegal.
Oh and GOG should address the Devotion situation.

I really liked some characters, quests and gameplay things, but I cannot give a positive review.
I hate Johnny. The plot is Silverhand-centred, his personality is irritating and don’t give a s**t about his friends, lovers and motivations – I wanted game about my character, not about dev’s fave character.
I'm not able to finish the game, because this character is pissing me off that much.
Pros:
Story
Gunplay
Characters
Cons:
Graphics are disappointing
Enemy variety is limited
World is huge but lacks soul
Most side quests are boring
I personally feel that this game would be better served as a more linear game with only the bigger side missions. The enemies just lack enough variety to be interesting and to drive fetch quests, I had zero interest to go and complete every mission like I do in other RPG's. The graphics are good but to be honest they don't look 5 years newer than Wild Hunt.
My suggestions for improvement:
No character creator - just have a single pre-defined protagonist - this will give more attachment to the character.
Make the world smaller, Night City just isn't interesting enough to make me want to explore it.
Make it linear - model it on something like Metro exodus.
Create a larger variety of enemies with good cinematic introductions to them.
There is nothing wrong with having a good 30 hour game.
